1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (NKJV)

When Christians sin, no matter how seemingly insignificant the sin may be…they are grieving the Holy Spirit…(Ephesians 4:30)… Once this occurs, the Christian becomes unrighteous in God’s eyes…and they will remain unrighteous, until any and all sins are confessed and repented of… This is accomplished with a prayer to the Lord based on…1 John 1:9

God’s forgiveness of sins through prayer, is pure grace in action…where we as Christian sinners can be renewed in sweet fellowship with the Lord; made righteous again in His sight; and once again be filled with the Holy Spirit…

Anytime we see a He in the Bible, with a capital H (as we see in…1 John 1:9), this is our Lord, our God, and our Father in heaven… No where in the Bible does it say that any mortal man can give absolute pardon to sins; contrary to the doctrine of some churches…  Here is a link for a published writing by Wayne Jackson, titled… “Can Man Forgive Sins?”…with scripture to back up his writing…   http://www.christiancourier.com/articles/763-can-man-forgive-sins

The 64 thousand dollar question (for those of you older readers who have heard this phrase), is… “How many times a day do you sin ??”  I’m sure this varies from Christian to Christian… The idea is to grow closer to the Lord, and He will grow closer to you (James 4:8)… We do this by feeding our heart, mind, and soul with God’s Word, on a daily basis if possible…  Jesus tells us how important this is, in…Matthew 4:4But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (NKJV)

The apostle Peter has this to say, about reading the Bible, in…1 Peter 2:1-3Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.  (NKJV)

I just finished a 10 day study on how to remain protected from Satan’s attacks by wearing All of God’s armor… Only our flesh will still be able to cause us to sin… For me personally…the tongue is absolutely impossible to control ALL  of the time (James 3)…  If you have not heard about “The Whole Armor of God”, I would be reasonably sure Satan tempts you into sinning on a regular basis… And your flesh…“forget about it !!”  Here is a link for the entire study, which can be bookmarked for future reading…   https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/08/14/gods-group-thoughts-for-8142012-filled-to-overflowing/

The “sword of the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:17), is the only offensive piece of the 6 pieces of God’s spiritual armor; written about by the apostle Paul, while in prison in Rome… Ephesians 6:10-20 This Satan busting armor can be read about in the following link… http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=eph6:10-20&version=NKJV

As the Christian matures from being a babe in Christ drinking milk, to a mature Christian eating solid food (Hebrews 5:13-14), by putting on God’s protective set of armor piece by piece over time…the number of sins they make should be drastically reduced… Failure to protect oneself from Satan’s attacks will leave the Christian in a constant state of praying for forgiveness every time they sin…or worse…they will remain unrighteous in God’s eyes, and backslide further and further from being aligned with God’s will and God’s ways…

Read this inspiriting scripture the apostle Paul wrote to the backsliding believers from the church at Ephesus, in…Ephesians 5:18-20…  And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)

Absolute, God given peace…can only be found when the Christian looks to the Lord in prayer, confessing all  of their sins…  Their sins will be forgiven by God’s grace, and they will again being filled with the Holy Spirit…  And this perfect peace, that I so often write about…is a supernatural peace that that goes beyond any mortal peace we can possibly imagine…Philippians 4:6-7

Heavenly Father, I pray that You reveal the truth from Your Word today to all readers…  I pray Lord, that reading Your Word and prayer, becomes the most important part of every Christian’s day…  And Lord…I pray that we can all find this absolute perfect peace that only walking with You will bring…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
