Matthew 10:33But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.  (NKJV)

Yesterday I made some suggestions for Christians, before they decide to share the gospel of Christ with those around them in need…  I said it would be helpful to be walking with the Lord…Spirit filled with God’s peace (by confessing any and all sins…1 John 1:9), and prepared to share…2 Timothy 4:2

I based this suggestion because of my own shortcomings of missing one very important piece of the 6 pieces of God’s spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-20), as written by the apostle Paul, in… Ephesians 6:15and having shod your feet with the preparation ofthe gospel of peace;  (NKJV)

I only shared the gospel of Christ twice in over 7 years, primarily because I had somehow taken back control from the Holy Spirit, who is essential in helping the Christian with the proper timing and the right words to share their faith… After I shodmy feetwith the preparation of the gospel of peace, I was walking with the Lord…and was prepared to share the gospel of peace

But what should a Christian do, assuming they are prepared to share their faith…and someone around them (especially a family member), says something that is absolutely contrary with what God teaches us in the Bible ??  Do we say nothing, for fear of disrupting family life ??  Or do we speak the truth, out of our love and concern for the soul of a lost loved one ??…

When we look at the way Jesus taught those around Him…we see that Jesus held nothing back…  He spoke with boldness and truth… And the apostle Paul surely wasn’t fearful for his own life, as he boldly preached the gospel of Christ everywhere he went… Those that have never read about how much Paul suffered for the Lord…can read about it, in…2 Corinthians 11:22-33…  Here is the link for those who are interested… http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2cor11:22-33&version=NKJV

But Paul, in his writing to his protégé Timothy, tells us this…2 Timothy 2:23-26But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. (NKJV)

Along with speaking the truth with love (Ephesians 4:15), we must be gentle, and humble; and we are to avoid any kind of confrontation…  As I wrote yesterday; a person has to be drawn in by God, before your speaking to them about the love of Christ will make any sense (John 6:44)… Tread lightly…look for signs of interest…and then share what the Holy Spirit has laid on your heart…  Planting seeds that only God can nurture into a new child for His kingdom, is what we as Christians have been called to do…Matthew 28:19-20

Heavenly Father, help all of Your children in their efforts to share the love of Christ to all of those around them…  Help Your children Lord, to be beacons of light in an otherwise dark and sin filled world (2 Corinthians 4:3-6)…  And Lord…help Your children to do their very best to live in Your will and Your ways… I pray for this guidance that only You can provide, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
