1 Peter 4:12Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;  (NKJV)

Trials in the life of a Christian are going to happen throughout the remaining time they have here on earth…  Its how the Christian views their trials and what they do about them…that I believe determines where they stand in relation to being righteous in God’s eyes… If a Christian is not walking with the Lord day in and day out; it is because they have taken their eye off of God as being first in their life… They have decided they know better than God, as they direct their own path in life…

The wise Solomon advises just the opposite, in…Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.  (NKJV)

As long as un-confessed sin remains in the life of a Christian, they are grieving the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30); and the Christian will remain unrighteous in God’s eyes until they confess and turn from these sins…1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (NKJV)

God promises to chastise and scourge His children, if they are living in disobedience to His will…Hebrews 12:5-6…  And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”  (NKJV)

But God is longsuffering and patient… Sometimes Christians live in sin for some time; and things seem to be going along just fine… All of a sudden the Christian looses their job…or their boyfriend or girlfriend…or they have a series of unusual bad events that have them asking… “Why is this happening to me God ??” There will also many times be fear or worry and anxiety (and possibly anger at God), which are all caused by Satan, or their own flesh… For the Christian who is going through these trials with un-confessed sins in their life…I believe it could be God chastening or rebuking His unrighteous children, to bring them back into obedience to Him as Lord and Master of their lives… Here is scripture to back up my thoughts…

Hebrews 12:11Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.  (NKJV)

If God’s wayward children heed God’s chastening and rebuking; and confess and turn from their sins, as they again look to the Lord as first in their lives…we see the result of this turning back to the Lord as…the peaceable fruit of righteousness… Only Spirit filled Christians that are walking with the Lord and totally controlled by the Holy Spirit, will be graced with this absolute God given peace that goes beyond our mortal understanding…

Philippians 4:6-7Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (NKJV)

When the Christian is living for the Lord…this confession of sins to again become righteous in God’s eyes should be an ongoing regular thing, as sins will surely be committed…1 John 1:9…  And because Christians are living “in Christ”, the Spirit filled Christian’s reaction to the same trials of life should bring a totally different response…  I believe these trials will be a testing of their faith, instead of chastening or rebuke by God for His backsliding or wayward children…

The apostle James tells us this, in…James 1:2-4My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  (NKJV)  It is the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit who totally controls the life of a Christian, which allows them to have this joy and peace, even through the trials of life… It has been my personal experience…that I was only able to regain the peace and joy I once had in my live…after I finally gave back total control of my life to the Holy Spirit…

Heavenly Father, I pray You will help all of Your children to see the truth presented by Your Word today… I pray Lord, that all of Your children will turn and repent of any and all sins…to again become righteous in Your sight… I pray for this God given supernatural peace for all Christians, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

This is a comment to the webmaster. Your website:http://brmfam.wordpress.com/2012/09/26/gods-group-thoughts-for-9262012-how-christians-perceive-trials/ is missing out on at least 300 visitors per day.
