Romans 12:2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  (NKJV)

I spent some time in yesterdays writing on how a person becomes a Christian in God’s eyes… We don’t become a Christian just because we go to church every week… We aren’t guaranteed a spot in heaven when we die, just because we are baptized as an infant, or because we are baptized later on in life… We become a Christian in God’s eyes when we have established a personal relationship with Jesus Christ… This intimate one on one relationship is initiated, as I mentioned yesterday, when a sinner seeks Jesus Christ to become their personal Lord, their Master, and their Savior…

Jesus tells us through God’s Word, about our need to go through Him in order to be forgiven of our sins by His Father, and graced with the free gift of salvation…  Jesus tells us this, in…John 14:6…   Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  (NKJV)  This life Jesus is speaking of in this scripture, is eternal life in heaven with His Father…

There are churches all over the world that preach and teach all kind of ways to be forgiven of one’s lifetime of sins… But there is only one way   through Jesus Christ, in which a sinner will be forgiven of their sins by God… And this truth Jesus speaks about is clearly presented in the Bible…

This personal relationship with Jesus Christ that must be established for sins to be forgiven, in order to become a Christian (the wayJesus speaks about)…is accomplished by understanding and obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…  There is no other way to heaven, PERIOD !!… I had a reader ask me to explain the word obey in regards to the gospel, because becoming a Christian it is often spoken of in the Bible as just believing in Jesus Christ… The following scripture is a prime example of just believing in Jesus to become a Christian…

John 3:16“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  (NKJV)

Becoming a Christian is more than just believing intellectually with the mind that God exists… The Bible tells us that even Satan and his demon associates believed that God existed…James 2:19You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! (NKJV)

The definition of the word obey in www.thefreedictionary.com is:  “To carry out or fulfill the command, order, or instruction of.”  This idea of having to first understand the gospel of Christ, and then to obey the gospel of Christ in order to become a Christian…involves a transformation of not only the mind, but the heart and the soul of the sinner as well… The sinner must turn their backs on the world and all of the sins associated with their past (And do not be conformed to this world); and have their mind renewed by the perfect will of God

The apostle John reveals this, in…John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  (NKJV)

Jesus tells us this at the beginning of His ministry, in…Mark 1:14-15 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

The sinner must look to Jesus Christ…realizing they can in no way save themselves from eternal damnation… They must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross…was buried…and rose again… The unrepentant sinner must then repent and turn from their sins, and with a prayer from their heart…seek Jesus Christ to come into their heart, mind, and soul to become their personal Lord, their Master, and their Savior…

When God by His pure grace and mercy through faith alone in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) gives the sinner a new heart that is filled with the love of Christ; they will have been cleansed of their lifetime of sins by the blood Jesus shed on the cross, and become a Christian in God’s eyes…  This is known as obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…

Failure to know God by understanding and obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, is graphically described by the Apostle Paul in this eye opening scripture, in…2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus ChristThese shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, (NKJV)

This scripture is absolutely clear on the need to obey the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to have sins forgiven by God…

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your Word would cut right to the very soul like a two edged sword, of those that don’t know Your Son Jesus Christ with the personal relationship that is needed to have their sins forgiven by You…Hebrews 4:12-13… I pray Father that You would draw these unredeemed sinners to Yourself (John 6:44), and that they wouldn’t sleep until they understand and obey the gospel of Your Son Jesus Christ… I pray for hearts to be regenerated by You, and for Your grace to be extended to truly humbled repentant sinners…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

      Hi!
I like the way that you structured this message of salvation from the start till the end, and all the verses’ Bible you used. Romain 12.2 recommended us not to be conformed to this world, instead to be transformed and renewed by conforming to God’s Will/Word. But today’s Gospel has become twisted; today’s Gospel, following the trend and lifestyle of this world based on materialism etc., leads most Christians astray. It leads them to ignore God, the real meaning of salvation, God’s Will and Call…
I am not into the group thought, but I just give an opinion on the message.

I pray that God multiplies His Wisdom and Knowledge In you and gives more Heavenly Revelations to bless, teach people in this blog and for your ministry!
