2 Corinthians 5:9Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.  (NKJV)

The Apostle Paul, who wrote the opening scripture, spent almost half of his life doing everything humanly possible to please the Lord Jesus Christ…from the time he was miraculously struck down on his way to Damascus, looking for Christians that he could have crucified (Acts 9)…  The Apostle Paul (then known as Saul), was converted by Christ from being a Christian killing Pharisee, to a servant of the Lord; who spread Christianity throughout the Middle East for many years by sharing his own testimony, and the gospel of Jesus Christ that he was chosen for by Christ, to share primarily to the gentiles…Acts 9:15

Yesterday I wrote about saving faith that is needed to become a Christian in God’s eyes…  Without this saving faith, given to us by God Himself (Ephesians 2:8-9)…we cannot please Him…Hebrews 11:6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  (NKJV)

Those that diligently seek God, will find the reward of eternal life in heaven; but only if they do God’s will… Nowhere in the Bible is there any other piece of scripture revealing that doing God’s will is most important to get into heaven, than the warning Jesus gives to those He was preaching to in His “Sermon on the Mount”…

Jesus explains that self-righteous works, like going to church every week, won’t have sins forgiven by God…  Many of today’s churches preach that these works done in the name of the Lord will have sins forgiven… But Jesus tells us that these false beliefs will have un-saved people being turned away from the gates of heaven, when it is too late… Here is what can be eye opening scripture, spoken by Jesus Himself, for those in need of God’s saving grace…

Matthew 7:21-23…  Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” (NKJV)

Jesus Himself, tells us His Father’s will…to give us the only way God will forgive our lifetime of sins, as recorded in…

Mark 1:14-15Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdomof God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”  (NKJV)

This gospel of the kingdomof God, is also known as the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ… The Apostle Paul teaches us that the gospel of Christ must be understood and obeyed in the following eye opening scripture, or sins will not be forgiven by God; leaving the unredeemed sinner destined for eternal hell…

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,  (NKJV)

Salvation is a gift of God’s pure grace (not because of works done…Ephesians 2:8-9)… I wrote about the need to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, in order to become a Christian through God’s will; and here is the link for those led to open and read more about this important decisionhttps://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/gods-group-thoughts-for-10202012-gods-grace-through-obedience-to-the-gospel-of-christ/

Jesus tells us that He is the only One we must come to, in order to get into heaven…  John 14:6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  (NKJV)

We cannot get into heaven by confessing our sins to anyone else…  The unredeemed sinner must first understand that there is no other way for sins to be forgiven, except to come to Christ Himself…seeking a personal one on One relationship with Him…  By turning and repenting of one’s sins…and trusting by saving faith alone in Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior (understanding and obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ), God will be pleased to grace the sinner by forgiving their lifetime of sins…  They will then become a Christian in God’s eyes, and a new child of God…

Heavenly Father, I pray that You open the eyes and the ears of those who need to understand this truth from Your Word, as You draw any unredeemed souls to Yourself…John 6:44… I also pray Lord, that all of Your children would understand that You must be first in their lives…and that everything we say and do should give You the honor and glory You so richly deserve (1 Corinthians 10:31)… I pray Lord, that Your will be done in all of our lives…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
