2 Corinthians 5:15and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.  (NKJV)

The other day I wrote about how the sinner has to die to their old way of life to become a Christian; and be “born again” (John 3:3), as a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)…  The Christian has been bought by God, with the price of the blood shed by Jesus Christ at the cross…

1 Corinthians 6:19-20Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.  (NKJV)

When the Holy Spirit, living with-in the Christian, is aloud to take total control of the Christian’s life; the self-centeredness that use to control the un-believer before they became a Christian, should be replaced with a “Christ centered” focus, and a totally transformed mind… The Christian’s mind should think like Christ, if the Holy Spirit is left in control…Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (NKJV)

Again, we see the Apostle Paul speak of the Christian’s body as being a living sacrifice; with a renewed mind that should prove they are living in the perfect will of God…Romans 12:1-2I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  (NKJV)

The Christian who is a new creature in Christ; and who is being led by the Holy Spirit…will be walking in the Spirit… Galatians 5:16-17I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.  (NKJV)

Christian’s are given the fruit of the Spirit, when they are first filled with the Holy Spirit at the time God graces them with salvation…  They become a Christian in God’s eyes, and one of God’s children…

Galatians 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  (NKJV)   …These are all the “Christ like” attributes that should continue to grow and become more visible in the Christian’s life, as they grow closer to the Lord in a life long process called sanctification…

But if the Christian allows Satan or their own flesh to temp them into sinning, it is because the lure of the sins of the world have become more important to them, that listening to the urging of the Holy Spirit living with-in the Christian… The only other possibility, is that the person was never in-dwelled by God with the Holy Spirit to begin with; so the person was never graced by God with salvation, and is not a Christian in God’s eyes…

I wrote about what God wants from a person to be graced by Him with salvation, in order to become a Christian in God’s eyes… This important act of obedience to the gospel of Christ, can be read about in the following link… https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/gods-group-thoughts-for-10202012-gods-grace-through-obedience-to-the-gospel-of-christ/

Those who are Christians, but have allowed their own flesh to take back control from the Holy Spirit…or those that were never Christian’s to begin with…will exhibit some of these sins of the world…

Galatians 5:19-21Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  (NKJV)

I have highlighted some of what is believed to be sins that aren’t all that bad in today’s worldly society…  Sadly, the sin of fornication(sex outside of marriage), has become more the norm for some people; especially the younger generation…rather than a sin that is definitely an abomination to the Lord…

A true Christian in God’s eyes won’t be turned away from heaven, if they fall prey to any of these sins… But God, though He is longsuffering…could inflict unusual punishment in the way of chastising or even scourging in the lives of the one’s He loves (Hebrews 12:6-8)… God does this, in hope of getting His child’s attention to the need of repenting and turning from any of these sins…1 John 1:9

I am not here to judge anyone…  I am merely a servant of the Lord, trying to share the truth God has given to us in His glorious Word, the Bible…  Each of us will be judged by God, and nothing will be hidden from God’s eyes…Hebrews 4:13And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.  (NKJV)

Heavenly Father, I pray that You would allow Your Word to open the eyes of those in need…  I pray Lord, that all of us can find something from Your Word today, to help us better understand how to please You… I pray for hearts to be filled with the love of Christ, and God’s blessings to freely flow into the lives of those that obediently live in Your will and Your ways…  I pray for Your grace for all of us, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
