Matthew 24:4-5…&…10-14And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no onedeceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.  …&… 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.  (NKJV)

The opening scripture has Jesus speaking to His disciples, in the last days before His crucifixion… Jesus was speaking about the future “end of times”; which is yet to come… But don’t these signs Jesus speaks about in this opening scripture, sound just like the world we live in today ??

People have been trying to predict Jesus’ second coming, ever since Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1:1-11)… But scripture is clear, that no one will know the date or time… Jesus didn’t even know Himself, when Jesus tells His disciples this, in…Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hourno one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.”  (NKJV)

We just started a new topic in Sunday school two weeks ago, that Pastor Dan is calling…“Everyday Evangelism”…  I am so excited about this teaching…  I am going to try and share the highlights here for all of you to read; and hopefully apply to your own lives…

I was amazed at some of the statistics Pastor gave us this past Sunday, about the number of Americans that call themselves Christians…  And that only 2%, evangelize those around them on a regular basis…  I believe most of the following statistics can be found @  http://bible.org/illustration/evangelism-statistics

78.4% of the USA population call themselves Christians… While no one knows the heart of a person, except God (1 Samuel 16:7)…the Bible is perfectly clear on the need to understand and obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ ( 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9)…before God graces the unredeemed sinner with the gift of salvation…  I write about this ALL  of the time… For those not familiar with the gospel of Christ, I urge you to spend some time reading the following days writing, titled… “God’s Grace through Obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ”…     https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/gods-group-thoughts-for-10202012-gods-grace-through-obedience-to-the-gospel-of-christ/

Positively, absolutely knowing that you are a Christian in God’s eyes, is a question many people calling themselves a Christian, must be absolutely sure about…  Our eternal destiny in either heaven or hell… depends on our righteous, or unrighteous standing before God (John 12:48), on the day we take our last breath here on earth…

My hope is that God can use these humble words I type, to allow someone to be convicted by the Holy Spirit…that they may not be forgiven of their lifetime of sins, as they believed… The whole premise of helping to share God’s gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ, cannot be accomplished effectively, and without fear…without God’s Helper, the Holy Spirit (John 14:26)…given to all Christians by God, on the day they become one of His redeemed children…

Does the Holy Spirit talk to your inner spirit ??   When you read the Bible, do you get the sense that God is speaking to you through His Word ??  …The Apostle Paul tells us exactly how we will know, that we are indeed a child of God, in…Romans 8:16-17The SpiritHimself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.  (NKJV)

I am reminded of a sermon by Dr. Charles Stanley this past Sunday (1/26/13), on how a Christian should start their day…by praying to the Lord and reading His Word…talking to God and listening to His response…

This 20 min audio, is an excellent example of how God, the Lord, and the leading of the Holy Spirit will direct our lives; if we are indeed a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit…   Here is the audio link to…“Prayer: Our time Saver”- Part 1…     http://itm.edgeboss.net/download/itm/audio/radio/2013/itm20130126.mp3

Why, indeed, do only 2% of professed Christians, share their faith with those around them; when Christ has commanded His children, in His last spoken words before ascending into heaven…to “make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19-20)…ie: to share their own testimony of God’s saving grace in their lives…and the gospel of Christ to those around them, who are in need of hearing about the “good news” of God’s saving grace… This is accomplished through seeking Christ to become ones personal Lord and Savior, with a relationship established by obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…

I will continue tomorrow, God willing…on this baffling question all true Christians should seek to find the answer to… “How do I go about evangelizing others, as Christ has commanded me to do ??”

Heavenly Father, I pray that You draw those in need of seeing and hearing the truth from Your Word to Yourself…John 6:44… I then pray Lord, that after Your grace is received by Your redeemed children…that evangelizing others, would become a priority in their lives… Urge all of Your children Lord, to share the good news of Your grace with those around them in need… I pray for this boldness that only the filling of the Holy Spirit can provide…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
