Psalm 91:1-2He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (NKJV)

This Psalm was written about how God is able to protect those who love Him and trust Him…  We don’t know the individual in the Psalm… And we don’t know the circumstances they had found themselves in…  But this was definitely someone who was filled with the Holy Spirit, who was quite possibly getting ready to fight a battle…

I believe the following scripture verse might indicate this, in…Psalm 91:7A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.  (NKJV)    Here is the link for the entire Psalm 91…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ps91&version=NKJV

Yesterday, I wrote about how being anchored to the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 6:19), would give the Christian a hope of eternal life in heaven (Titus 1:2), and rest for their weary souls…as spoken by Jesus, in…Matthew 11:29-30Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  (NKJV)

At the end of this beautiful Psalm, God Himself gives us His promise to protect those who abide in His love… Jesus tells us this, in…John 15:5I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”  (NKJV)

Here is the end to this beautiful Psalm of promise…Psalm 91:14-16Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”  (NKJV)

Have you put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, by understanding and obeying the gospel of Christ ??  God’s gift of grace is only given to those who have submitted their heart, mind, and soul to the Lord (Matthew 22:35-40); as they are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ…Ephesians 2:8-9

Here is a link for this most important days writing about how God’s grace is received to become a Christian in God’s eyes; through obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…

If you have truly taken refuge with God as your protector; and you remain focused upon Him for directing your life (Proverbs 3:5-6)…you should never have any fears that Satan will use to destroy those left unprotected…  The protected and secure child of God in this Psalm, wrote this…

Psalm 91:9-12Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.  (NKJV)

Since there are twice as many angels as there are demons (fallen angels…Revelation 12:3-9)…Christians who live a life that is committed to walking in the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-20)…will have plenty of help to be able to keep Satan and his fallen demon friends in check (James 4:7-8a)…

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your Word would give all those in need of their own guardian angels, the desire to seek Your Son Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior…and then remain committed to staying prayed up, as I call it…by continuously confessing and repenting of any sins (1 John 1:9)… I pray for this perfect condition of grace through faith in Christ, for all of us…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
