Read Ephesians 6:10-13,
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28
Nuclear melt down is one of the greatest problems in utilizing all of the benefits of nuclear energy in our atomic age.
As deadly as nuclear melt down might be, it is not near as deadly as spiritual melt down. The worst nuclear melt down could do would be kill your body for this lifetime. Spiritual melt down can kill a soul for this life time and all eternity.
A sudden power spike that exceeds design specifications in a nuclear reactor can trigger melt down. The distractions of the cares of this world, the lust or pride of the flesh, darts of doubt or discouragement from the devil can do the same thing to our souls.
Just as man has designed safeguards to prevent nuclear melt downs, God has provided safeguards to prevent spiritual melt downs.
We have all been given the full armor of God. Only when we live lives controlled by the Holy Spirit and daily put on the armor God has provided can we hope to avoid the disaster of spiritual melt down.
Godly sorrow, confession, and repentance are the safeguards that control any sin surges before they cause spiritual melt down.
God has designed us for His pleasure and for fellowship with Him. He has written His design specifications so that we might, by the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, successfully finish the race marked out for us.
Father, fill me with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit that I might avoid the pitfall of spiritual melt down. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
