Mark 16:6-7 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” (NKJV)

Hallelujah !!  Christ is risen !!    As Christians all over the world celebrate this Resurrection Sunday, let us rejoice in this miracle of miracles; Jesus Christ defeated both death and Satan almost 2000 years ago, because Christ rose from the grave…

Hebrews 2:14-15Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage(NKJV)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, gave new life and a renewed hope to not only Jesus’ disciples…it became the basis of Christianity… The following link for…1 Corinthians 15…was written by the apostle Paul, explaining this truth of freedom from the bondage of sin.  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1cor15&version=NKJV

All those that are not Christians in God’s eyes, are spiritually dead, because they are still living in the world of sin and shame with Satan as their father…John 8:44You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.  (NKJV)

Jesus, the Son of God, was sent down to earth by His Father from heaven, for the sole purpose of providing a way for the unredeemed sinner to be saved from sins, that they can in no way save themselves from…1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the SonofGod was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.  (NKJV)

Becoming a Christian starts through saving faith alone in Jesus Christ, with a heart that has been drawn in by God (John 6:44)…acknowledging that one is a sinner in need of salvation…believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross…was buried…and rose again in 3 days…and then turning away from one’s sins by repenting of them, and seeking Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord, Master, and Savior… God reveals this to us in His Word, that His grace is given, through obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

The spiritually dead sinner has a heart which is quickened by God;  made alive by God through grace alone, because of faith alone in Jesus Christ…Ephesians 2:4-6…  But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together withChrist (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  (NKJV)

The apostle Paul goes on to write, that this grace through saving faith is a gift from God; and not because of any self righteous works that have been done for the Lord to have sins atoned for, in this scripture…Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  (NKJV)

If you are a Christian, what better time to share this good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, than on the day we celebrate as Resurrection Sunday…    Jesus’ resurrection from the grave almost 2000 years ago, along with His shed blood on the cross…has made this redemption from sins possible…

As you gather with family and friends today…proclaim with a renewed and resounding joy, what this day and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about…to those around you that don’t know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior…

Heavenly Father, Christians the world over, should be ever so thankful for what this memorable day represents… Help all of Your children Lord, to be filled with the Holy Spirit…as we confess and repent of any and all sins that will keep us from walking in sweet fellowship with You…(1 John 1:9)… Help Your children Lord, to renew their vows of obedience…and to live in a way that will be pleasing in Your sight… I pray for this fullness of Christ for all of us…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
