“Put it Away!”
“And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, then you shall not be moved.” Jeremiah 4:1b
When we die to sin and become alive in Christ we lose our excuse for letting sin control our lives. We are free to become like Christ!
“Poor miserable sinner” defines what we were. Since we have become saints in the eyes of God, we need to start living like redeemed children of God.
The Holy Spirit has not come in our lives to weaken us, but to strengthen us with resurrection power so that we stand firm against the onslaughts of temptations that will continue to come our way.
When our hearts produce the fruit of God’s Spirit, there will be no room left for evil to take root and grow within us.
When we are truly born again, the transforming power of God’s grace is unleashed within us to conform us into the image of Christ.
We need to continually maintain the flow of God’s power and grace, by feeding on the Word of God which is the source of all spiritual nourishment.
We will find cause to celebrate the great thing that God has done for us through Jesus Christ, by living out our thanks by living lives fully pleasing to Him.
Our old weaknesses and desires to do evil will give way to the new passion to do good. Although momentary lapses and sneak attacks may occasionally “blind side us”, we will always know that grace and mercy are available.
Forgiveness, the strength to overcome, restoration and a clean heart and right spirit will be ours through true confession and repentance.
Blessings in Christ, bruce
