Psalm 31:1In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let menever be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.  (NKJV)

If you have truly put your faith and trust, in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you can claim Him as your personal Lord and Saviorthen you have been filled with the Holy Spirit as your lifelong, live-in Helper, at the moment God graced you with salvation John 14:26

I am reminded of the boldness the disciples, (especially Peter) had to begin sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…when the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus’ disciples on the day of PentecostActs 2… Peter’s famous first sermon, was delivered with such boldness and truth, that scripture records 3,000 souls became believers…Acts 2:40-41

And what was this message of truth that Peter preached?  Acts 2:38…  Then Petersaid to them, “Repent, and let every one of you bebaptized in the name of JesusChrist for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the HolySpirit(NKJV)

Indeed, it is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, which Jesus has commanded all of His children to go forth and share…Matthew 28:19-20…  God uses His children through proclaiming His Word, to plant seeds that only God can nurture into one of His own redeemed children…

Matthew 13:1-23… records Jesus’ teaching on the “Parable of the Sower”, and the 4 soils…  Here is a link to this important scripture…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mat13:1-23&version=NKJV   Here is the key piece of this scripture…Matthew 13:23But he who receivedseed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it,who indeedbearsfruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”  (NKJV)

But just like Peter, the Christian’s boldness to proclaim the gospel of Christ, comes from the full power of Holy Spirit…  And this same power to be bold in proclaiming the gospel of Christ, gives the Spirit filled Christian a supernatural peace beyond understanding (Philippians 4:6-7)…the fullness of joy through the fullness of Christ (John 15:11 & Colossians 1:11)and a love of Christ which passes our mortal knowledge…Ephesians 3:19

When we as Christians allow our own flesh to be tempted by Satan and the ways of the world…our power from being filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-20) will quickly diminish…  Fear, anxiety, stress, and worry are but a few of the signs that unconfessed sin and Satan has succeeded in robbing the Christian from having a sound mind, and a God given peace that only the fullness of Christ will bring into the life of a Christian who is “Walking in the Spirit…Galatians 5:16

2 Timothy 1:7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a soundmind.  (NKJV)

The Apostle Paul wrote this scripture to Timothy, to remind the Christian that there should be no doubt that they are a child of God…and that they should not be living in fear, in… Romans 8:15-16For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The SpiritHimself bears witness with our spirit that wearechildren of God, (NKJV)

Do you share God’s grace through the gospel of Christ with the lost and dying world around you, one sinner at a time, as God leads you?  Or are you tight-lipped and ashamed to share your testimony and/or the gospel of Christ to those in need of hearing the truth from God’s Word (John 8:32)?  The Apostle Paul goes on, in his instructions to Timothy (and us), with this…

2 Timothy 1:8-9Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, butshare with me in the sufferingsfor the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holycalling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in ChristJesus before time began,  (NKJV)

God’s purpose for His children is to live a life that will glorify Him in everything we say and do…  And our holycalling is to share the gospel of Christ with all of those around us who have yet to be graced by God…  The disciples weren’t ashamed of sharing the gospel of Christ, and neither was the Apostle Paul, who penned this, in…

Romans 1:16For I am notashamed of the gospel of Christ, for itis the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.  (NKJV)

Without going into the sad statistics and percentage of Christians who regularly share their faith with boldness, I must tell you that I was part of this sad statistic for many years…  It takes a combination of spending regular Q/T reading and digesting God’s Word, to gain the spiritual wisdom and maturity needed to effectively share the gospel of Christ…  But it also takes the full power of the Holy Spirit to provide the boldness and the right words at the appropriate time… This combination duo, powered by the Holy Spirit, should not only provide the Christian with boldness to share their faith, it should also provide the burning desire to lovingly plant seeds into those around us that God is urging all of His children witness to…

Heavenly Father, help all of Your children to see the urgent need of not being ashamed of their faith… Give us the burning desire and a heart-felt burden to boldly share the grace You have bestowed upon Your children, with all of those around them in need…  I pray for this spiritual boldness, along with the wisdom found only from Your Word, for all of Your children…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
