I spent yesterday writing about how the Christian has a choice between seeking heavenly wisdom, or seeking demonic wisdom.  At first glance, I believe most Christians would say that this is a very easy choice.  After all…Satan is the bad guy, right ?  And yet, unless you are obeying the Lord’s command to obey Him all of the time…then your fleshly wisdom, and/or the wisdom of Satan and his demon friends are at the very least, in partial control of your life.

I urge anyone who missed yesterdays writing, to go to www.Godsmanforever.wordpress.com and read about how you are missing out on God’s richest blessings, unless you are “Walking in the Spirit” with The Lord;(Galatians 5:16), with the Lord being the focus of your life, day in and day out.  Anything less is disobedience…plain and simple.   And if you are indeed a Christian in God’s eyes…and you are living in constant, unrepented sin…God will catch up with you sooner or later.

Hebrews 12:11…  Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, butpainful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceablefruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.  (NKJV)

Today, I’m led to continue on the same topic from yesterday, that you make the right choice.  But you can see from the opening scripture, that obeying God is not a choice in His mind…it is a command!

My title, for today’s writing, comes from listening to a 20 minute audio sermon by Dr. Charles Stanley that he titles “Obeying God – A Serious Decision”, found @ http://www.intouch.org/broadcast/audio-archives  by scrolling down to July 24, 2013.  I urge every one of you to spend the time listening to Dr. Stanley teach us about the benefits of obedience to God…and how we can best learn this important command, to please the Lord.

Heavenly Father, urge Your children to re-evaluate their own spiritual walk with You…  Help us to understand the truth from Your Word, which explains that obedience to Your will and Your ways will “yield the peaceablefruit of righteousness”.   I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
