Psalm 105:3-4Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore (NKJV)

Did you wake up this morning dreading the start another week of work ??  Has life given you a burden you just don’t know how you will be able to cope with on your own ??  Each and every Christian should be able to start their week with a smile on their face  !!

This psalmist who penned the opening scripture had the key for every child of God, in every situation…  At every trial in life…at every disappointment we face…when it seems things can’t get much worse…look to Christ for His enduring strength…   In our own strength we will fail just about every time…

The Lord is patiently waiting for His children to get on board with His perfect plan for their lives…  This can be the easiest thing (or the hardest) for us to partake of as Christians, if we would just put our pride aside…and humble ourselves into submitting to the Holy Spirit that God has given to ALL of His redeemed children…John 14:26

Over and over in the Bible, God reassures us that if we are His children, He will always be with us, no matter what…  We see this in the Old Testament, in…Deuteronomy 31:8…  And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed(NKJV)  (Look also at…Joshua 1:9…&…1 Chronicles 28:20)

In the New Testament we see this, in…Hebrews 13:5-6Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  (NKJV)

God knows that all of His children are all going to slip and fall…  I believe we will find our number of falls directly proportional to our spiritual maturity…  As the Christian learns to put on the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 13:14) each and every day…they will be drawn closer to the Lord, and the Lord will draw closer to them…James 4:7-8…   When sin and our own flesh take us down, we must stand back up and shake off the dust, as we look to the Lord to carry our load…  God promises to be there for all of His children, thru thick and thin…  Jesus tells us this Himself, in…
Matthew 11:28-29…  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  (NKJV)

As the Christian learns to submit to God (the Holy Spirit), and walk in the Spirit…they will experience the sweet fellowship that God wants with all of His children…  So how do we as Christians submit to the Holy Spirit ??  We must confess, repent of, and turn from our sins each and every time we slip…1 John 1:9…  We can’t be Sunday morning Christians, and go back to living with unconfessed sins after leaving church…and expect to the Lord to give us His peace and His joy…

But I am here to tell you personally…that the sweet fellowship with Christ that Spirit filled believers will experience…will bring a God-given supernatural peace…Philippians 4:6-7…and a fullness of joy beyond belief…John 15:11…that will trump any pleasures that living in sin could possibly provide…  As my Spirit filled friend Ann would say…”Ain’t life grand”  !!

So start your day by spending some one on One time with the Lord…  He is waiting for you to step aside of your own self…submit your life into His loving hands…and allow the Lord to direct your every step…Proverbs 3:5-6

Rejoice in the Lord, as you submit to His will and His ways…  Allow your heart to be filled with the love of Christ, and let His light shine through you like never before…Matthew 5:16…  You will be bringing glory to God, and He will bring joy, and peace, and rest to your soul…

Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You for who You are…  I thank You for the grace and the mercy that You bestow upon Your children…even when we fail You on a regular basis…  Help us to draw closer to You, as we strive to please You in all that we say and do…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
