“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalm 50:15
We have been created to glorify God by giving Him honor, praise, and adoration by reflecting His goodness, sovereignty, holiness, wisdom, justice, love, and faithfulness in the way we live our lives. It is commanded and we dare not fail to do it lest our hearts become darkened.
We glorify God when we rely on His promises, and when we praise Him. We glorify Him when we are patient in affliction and when we are faithful.
We glorify God when we suffer and are persecuted for His name’s sake.
We glorify God by living lives fully pleasing to Him and fruitful in every good work.
We were created for God’s good pleasure. He takes no pleasure in fools, in wickedness, or in those who delight in their sins.
God is glorified through honesty and integrity. He directs the steps of the godly, and delights in every detail of their life. He delights and is glorified by the prayers of the upright.
We glorify God when we worship Him in Spirit and in truth. When the fruit of the Spirit are manifest in our every day life, God is glorified in our every day lives.
God knew that we were all going to fall short of His glory. This is why He sent a Savior to save us, and the Holy Spirit to carry us through our short comings on wings of grace.
When we glory in ourselves and our own strength, or any person or passion other than Jesus Christ, we are robbing God of the glory that is His alone.
Father may all I say and do honor and glorify You. In Jesus’ name, Amen
