The Bible is nothing but the Truth, Proven Mathematically

( revised 4/06/2013)

Proverbs 30:5Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

It is important to believe that every word in the Bible is true, and recorded for us to read and understand… After talking with many people about the Bible, I find that many don’t believe it was inspired by God; and that every word is truth and wisdom, written for our benefit… This opening scripture reminds me of a blog I wrote 4 years ago, on 11/07/2010; but this was so eye opening for me, I am going to talk about it again today…

Wow !! How could anybody make 668 out of 668 correct predictions of the future, and have everyone of them come true… As human beings in our own right, this would be impossible… But the Bible has over 1000 prophecies, and an astonishing 668 of them have been fulfilled, with none ever being proven false…These prophecies were made by prophets that God talked to directly, or who were inspired by God through the Holy Spirit, to deliver a message for a specific purpose…

I got this information from the following link, which goes into detail for those who want to read a whole lot more on Bible Prophecy… http://www.allaboutthejourney.org/bible-prophecy.htm

Over 100 prophecies of the Old Testament were about the future Messiah of the Jewish people, Jesus Christ… Jesus spoke of these Messianic prophecies in…Luke 24:44… Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” (NKJV)

The Old Testament verses are the prophecy; the New Testament verses proclaim the fulfillment. Check some of them out for yourself!

Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21-23)
A descendant of Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3; 22:18; Matthew 1:1; Galatians 3:16)
Of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10; Luke 3:23, 33; Hebrews 7:14)
Of the house of David (2 Samuel 7:12-16; Matthew 1:1)
Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:1; Luke 2:4-7)
Taken to Egypt (Hosea 11:1; Matthew 2:14-15)
Herod´s killing of the infants (Jeremiah 31:15; Matthew 2:16-18)
Anointed by the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11:2; Matthew 3:16-17)
Heralded by the messenger of the Lord (John the Baptist) (Isaiah 40:3-5; Malachi 3:1; Matthew 3:1-3)
Would perform miracles (Isaiah 35:5-6; Matthew 9:35)
Would preach good news (Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:14-21)
Would minister in Galilee (Isaiah 9:1; Matthew 4:12-16) Would cleanse the Temple (Malachi 3:1; Matthew 21:12-13)
Would first present Himself as King 173,880 days from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25; Matthew 21:4-11)
Would enter Jerusalem as a king on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9; Matthew 21:4-9)
Would be rejected by Jews (Psalm 118:22; I Peter 2:7)
Die a humiliating death (Psalm 22; Isaiah 53) involving:
rejection (Isaiah 53:3; John 1:10-11; 7:5,48)
betrayal by a friend (Psalm 41:9; Luke 22:3-4; John 13:18)
sold for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12; Matthew 26:14-15)
silence before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7; Matthew 27:12-14)
being mocked (Psalm 22: 7-8; Matthew 27:31)
beaten (Isaiah 52:14; Matthew 27:26)
spit upon (Isaiah 50:6; Matthew 27:30)
piercing His hands and feet (Psalm 22:16; Matthew 27:31)
being crucified with thieves (Isaiah 53:12; Matthew 27:38)
praying for His persecutors (Isaiah 53:12; Luke 23:34)
piercing His side (Zechariah 12:10; John 19:34)
given gall and vinegar to drink (Psalm 69:21, Matthew 27:34, Luke 23:36)
no broken bones (Psalm 34:20; John 19:32-36)
buried in a rich man’s tomb (Isaiah 53:9; Matthew 27:57-60)
casting lots for His garments (Psalm 22:18; John 19:23-24)
Would rise from the dead!! (Psalm 16:10; Mark 16:6; Acts 2:31)
Ascend into Heaven (Psalm 68:18; Acts 1:9)
Would sit down at the right hand of God (Psalm 110:1; Hebrews 1:3)

The calculated odds of these prophecies being fulfilled without God, are 10 to the 38th power (1 in 100 billion, billion, billion, billion)… I have included a link which shows how these calculations were made…

http://www.allabouttruth.org/messianic-prophecy-2.htm

What does this all mean?… The statistics, at least for me, prove that the Bible couldn’t have been written by men, without the help of God… That God was involved with every page of the Bible…and this Book is full of nothing but the truth…

I would urge everyone to open and spend some time in these links above; and then forward this important information to those around them that believe the Bible is just a bunch of stories, and not the truth and wisdom God has given us, from cover to cover… These statistics might open some eyes that have been blinded by Satan…2 Corinthians 4:4

Once you believe every word in the Bible is true, I must direct you to this very important piece of scripture written by the apostle John, with words spoken by Jesus in…John 3:3… Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

My hope is that these words of being “born again” as a prerequisite of getting into heaven, will bring new meaning, and a desire to find out more about what God wants from us to be born again as a new creation, and a child of God…2 Corinthians 5:17

Heavenly Father, I thank You so much for Your Word… The Bible is such an amazing Book in so many ways… My hope and prayers are that Your Word stir the hearts and minds of all those who have read every word to this point… Lord I pray that we all spend more time reading Your Word, so that our lives can be enriched with all the love, hope, and peace we will find there… I pray Lord, that we all find Your promise of eternal life in heaven, if we believe and receive Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior…Amen…

Very well explained Bruce… and very true! Fulfilled prophecies are one of many different proofs that we have of the infallability of Scripture. Lord bless you my friend.
