        “God’s Armor, or Satan’s Chains”  (Day 10)

(For the first 9 days writing…type 4/02-4/10/2017, as separate dates into the search window of   www.Godsmanforever.com)

John 3:19-20… And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  (NKJV)

For new readers…Ephesians 6:10-20…is the scripture, where the apostle Paul wrote about “The Whole Armor of God”…  Here is the link for first time readers to read this important scripture for all Christians…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians6:10-20&version=NKJV

I have just finished 9 days of writing on “The Whole Armor of God”… I thought I was finished, and could move on to another topic…  But what I am about to write is putting the “horse after the cart”, because I should have started this important writing on the desperate need for Christians to wear the entire set of 6 pieces of God’s protective spiritual armor, or still be effected by Satan…

I have been bombarded by 4 different sources; 2 friends, one my own observation this morning, and 1 written source…all pounding away at my feeble brain to explain to you in detail, why so many Christians are still falling to the temptation to sin by Satan, and their own evil flesh…

This opening scripture is normally looked at as being addressed to non-believers…  They hate the light from the love of Christ that will fill the heart, mind, and soul of all of God’s redeemed children…   All Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit by God, at the moment of salvation…  But I am here to tell you that many of us, (me included for the better part of 7 years)…develop cracks in our fragile clay vessel, or what I have been calling chinks in our spiritual protective armor of God…

These chinks allow Satan back into our lives, and allow the Holy Spirit to (what I call), “take a back seat to controlling our lives”…  “Praise the Lord”, that all of God’s redeemed children are heaven bound, looking forward to an eternity face to face with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when we pass on from this life…   But I believe this opening scripture can be applied to Christians who choose not to submit all of themselves to God, because they prefer to engage in the lusts of the world because Satan and all of his cronies, are finding chinks in their spiritual armor…

This fullness of the Holy Spirit, that the apostle Paul pens, in…Ephesians 5:18-20…where we are overflowing and glowing to those around us, is missing in so very many Christians…  Our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are being constantly bombarded by Satan, because they have failed to learn about, and to faithfully and obediently put on “The Whole Armor of God”, that was so extensively written about by the Apostle Paul in…Ephesians 6:10-20

This scripture was written for our benefit…  I know I have read this scripture dozens of  times, but God has finally revealed to me through the fullness of the Holy Spirit within me, that this is the key to defeating Satan just about all of the time…  This can only be done by the full power of the Holy Spirit, when we as Christians submit our lives to God (James 4:7-8), and allow the Holy Spirit to go before us, controlling all that we say and do…

I also wrote about not putting on all of God’s armor as being a sin, once you understand what all 6 pieces of God’s armor are for; and then purposely neglecting to put on each piece of spiritual armor for protection…   This is called the “Sin of Omission”, as written about by the apostle James in…James 4:17… Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

I shared this past Sunday (back in 2011), with my fellow brothers in Sunday school, that I was rarely being affected by Satan…   I told them, as I shared in my writing a few days ago, that I was still going through trials God has either given to me, or allowed to occur, to temper me and make me even stronger in my faith…  But Satan (for the most part – praise God !!), has no foothold to enter my life…  There is no chink in my armor, if I faithfully wear all 6 pieces of the full set of spiritual armor, that God provides for all of His children to put on themselves, to protect them for all evil, 24/7…

But we must know about all 6 pieces of God’s spiritual armor, found by diligently spending time in God’s Word (the sword of the Spirit –Ephesians 6:17)…and then it is up to us to put on each piece, one by one…   Failure to do so will leave a chink in our armor, giving Satan access to some part of our body missing its protective spiritual armor…

My Lil Sis Sharon told me she was missing the “Helmet of Salvation” for an estimated 10 years…  This missing piece of God’s armor wasn’t protecting her head from Satan, and all the lies he was filling her head with, for so many years…  This is one of the 2 people who have convinced me that the combination of wearing God’s full set of armor, and total submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit, is a must…to protect us from all of the demonic forces at work, constantly try to bring Christians down…

I have mentioned “grieving the Holy Spirit” and “quenching the Holy Spirit” twice now, in the last couple of days…   It’s time tomorrow, God willing, for me to explain how “grieving the Holy Spirit”, or “quenching the Holy Spirit”, is equivalent to what I have been referring to as our being a cracked vessel, or having a chink in God’s armor, which allows Satan or our own flesh to keep us less than Spirit filled (Ephesians 5:18-20)…

I must point out that a saved Christian will never lose the Holy Spirit…   But allowing the full power of the Holy Spirit to work within us, is the only way we can be completely protected from Satan…(James 4:7-8)    This of course, along with wearing the full set of spiritual armor God has given to us to put on…

Heavenly Father, I continue to pray that Christian readers are coming on board to the fact that this spiritual protective armor You provide for Your obedient children who decide to put it on, is needed to be worn in its entirety; along with the full power of the Holy Spirit…as the only way to defeat Satan and our own evil flesh…   We are helpless within ourselves, as all of our fighting power comes from above…   I thank You even now Father, for Your urging all eyes to see the truth found in Your Word, and to change hearts to live entirely for the Lord… I pray for this fullness of the Holy Spirit in all of our lives, in Jesus Christ’s most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ, bruce
