Ephesians 3:20…   Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (NKJV)

Once we as Christians understand that God is sovereign, and in charge of every facet of our lives…and that God doesn’t ever make any mistakes…we should gladly place our faith and trust in Him, and allow God to do what He does best !!

I share this opening piece of scripture with all young Christians I get a chance to chat with, so that they can benefit from the amazing supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, that God has given to every one of His “born again” children…

God wants His redeemed children to humble themselves, and to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit living within them…  When we are young, we are taught that we can do anything we set out minds to do…  But this is contrary to what God teaches us in His inerrant Word, the Bible…  The Apostle Paul pens this, in…

Philippians 4:13…  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me(NKJV)

You want to become a nurse…maybe God wants you to become a doctor… You say your parents cannot afford that ivy league school…or that you will never be able to get into the best school for your education…  As the opening scripture tells us… Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…God can open doors that we could never open in our own strength…

Before you make any major decisions in your life…seek the advice of the Holy Spirit that God has given you as your lifelong Helper…  But before you pray for advice or direction…be sure your heart is not cluttered with unconfessed sins…  The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, that God won’t answer prayers of those who harbor sins, in…

Psalm 66:18…  If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.  (NKJV)

We also see this scripture, in the NT…

John 9:31…  We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.  (ESV)

Some people today believe that God’s grace given to believers, overpowers the fact that they are praying with unconfessed sins…so that God will still answer prayers of those with iniquity in their hearts… (See 1 below)   Others believe that God won’t answer the prayers of a Christian who is living in willful, unconfessed sin…  (See 2. Below)

I personally believe we have a better chance of God responding positively to our prayers, if our hearts are right with the Lord… But our prayers must be in the will of God to be heard…1 John 5:14…  The following scripture should be well known and used daily (if needed) by all “born again” Christians…after the Holy Spirit reveals to them that they have sinned…

1 John 1:9…  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (ESV)

So seek the Lord’s face…confess any and all known sins before Him…and ask for His guidance and direction for your life…  You just might be surprised, when doors are opened by God, that you never thought were possible !!

Heavenly Father…I pray that all of Your redeemed children (especially the young who need direction for their lives), will humble themselves before You, and do their best to be obedient to the Holy Spirit You have given them…  I pray Father, that doors impossible to open in our own strength…will be opened by You to improve and bless the lives of Your obedient children…  I pray for this supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to be released in the lives of all of us who have placed our faith and trust in You… I pray for Your divine intervention to empower us like never before, in Jesus’ most precious name, and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce
