“Help in praying through life’s most difficult trial”

As Christians, we sometimes don’t know what, and/or how we should be praying to God…especially in times of trouble… But the following scripture may give you some help…

Romans 8:26-27Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (NKJV)

If you truly have the Holy Spirit residing within you (as ALL “born again” Christians, born of the will of God do – John 1:12-13)…God knows that anything the Holy Spirit makes intercession on your behalf for, will be in God’s will, for any of life’s most difficult situations… according to the will of God

If you don’t feel the presence of the Holy Spirit speaking to your spirit, as Christians filled with the Holy Spirit should (Romans 8:15-16), confess your sins to God, with godly sorrow, and a repentant heart…

1 John 1:9…   If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (NKJV)

For the non-Christian to become a Christian in God’s eyes, you would start by praying to God with godly sorrow and a repentant heart, seeking God’s grace through understanding and obeying the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…  (See 1. Below)

As a Christian, once all of your sins are confessed to God, repented of, and turned from…you will be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be walking in sweet fellowship with the Lord…    Some say, sins residing in our heart only hinder our relationship with the Lord… But I believe un-confessed sins will break the believer’s fellowship with the Lord…  To regain this sweet fellowship with the Lord, you MUST first humble yourself in prayer, and submit to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit…  The Apostle Paul tells the believers in the church of Ephesus (and us) this, in…

Ephesians 5:18-20…   And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)

When you are walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)…your fear…your anxiety…and any negative emotions your carnal flesh and/or Satan will try use to keep you frozen in fear, should be gone… The peace of God which will surpass all mortal understanding…will guard your heart and mind, as the fullness of Christ’s joy in you, will make your joy full…  We see this scripture penned by the Apostle John, when Christ tells His disciples (and us) this, in…

John 15:11…  “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” (NKJV)

We see this supernatural God given peace promised in this scripture penned by the Apostle Paul, in…

Philippians 4:6-7Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)

So don’t try to go through life’s struggles in your own strength… Allow the Holy Spirit to take total control of your life (Ephesians 5:18-20)…and though your struggle may still exist…you should be able to experience the peace God’s grace will provide, to help you through your time of need…

Heavenly Father, I pray Your redeemed children will understand how powerful the supernatural strength of the Holy Spirit living within them can be…  I pray Lord, that hearts will be humbled, and that with all sins confessed, the Holy Spirit is free to direct our lives in Your will and Your ways…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of us, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ, bruce
