“God provides for His faithful Children”

And that you study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands, as we commanded you. v.12: That you may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that you may have lack of nothing.
1st Thessalonians 4:11-12

I have lived long enough to understand that God expects a certain type of lifestyle from those who know Him and claim Him as our Lord, Savior, and God. When He calls us to study to be quiet, He is calling us to live a peaceful life. It is much more easier for us to live peaceable among others when we are minding our own business. And as we do that, we have little or no time to mind somebody else’s business. And along with all that, God has called His people to WORK. I have yet to see God bless laziness or the sluggard.

I have also came to realize that God will always meet our needs as we trust Him. Where God guides us, God always provides for us. I’m very thankful that God teaches us not to depend on others for the things we need, but to look to Him in faith and acknowledge that He is one supplying all our needs. And when we live this kind of life, even those who may despise us will respect us.

This morning I thanked and praised God that He has given us the recipe for having lack of nothing. Matthew 6:33 commands us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all the good things will come to us as we allow God to be our source!
