Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3
When you and I depend on the Lord in all that we do, then our plans will succeed. We make our plans in our hearts and in our minds, but only the Lord can make those plans come true. And the best way I know how to commit my works unto the Lord is thru prayer. For you see, prayer is a mighty force when guidance is required for the next step.
When I look back and remember the times I asked the Lord to direct my steps, I see that He always answered that prayer. And it so much wiser to ask the Lord to DIRECT our steps instead of having to ask Him to CORRECT our steps.
This morning I commit this day unto the Lord. I thank and praise Him for another moment in time when I can worship and serve Him. And I ask Him to give me the good sense to commit all my activity unto the Lord, for I know that this is the first ingredient in a recipe for success!
