“The NEW NORMAL, or the OLD PATHS ??”

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall have rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 6:16

There are 2 ways you can choose to live out your life. You can live it YOUR way, or you can live it God’s way. Today, you will hear plenty from the secular humanist. You will likely hear nothing or very little from God’s word. You see, if you really want to hear from God, you have to pick up His word and READ it. You must ask Him to give you a heart to listen to Him. And you must ask Him for the FAITH to believe Him, and to do His will.

How do you like what they are calling, “The NEW NORMAL?” This morning I am longing for the OLD PATHS. I don’t like the new paths very much. I am longing for the wisdom of godly Grandpa’s and Dads who were schooled by their Grandpa’s and Dads in the old paths, and were taught and likewise taught their generation about the old paths, that those are the GOOD WAY.

You see, when we listen to and obey God, that is traveling in the old paths and the good way. God commands us to walk in this direction, and PROMISES us when we do that, we will have rest for our souls.

Are you getting tired yet? Are you growing weary of secular humanism and progressive liberalism that leads us down those “new paths”? There is a way to find rest for our souls. That way is God’s WAY, and not our own way.

You know friends, it really is a no brainer. Trust in the LORD!
