“A soft answer turns away wrath”

A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he that is slow to anger appeases strife.

Proverbs 15:18

Do you have a short fuse? Are you quick to anger? Do you often fly off the handle? If you do, then you might be guilty of stirring up strife. Folks who are slow to anger have a gift from God. They give God time to work in people’s lives, and count on Him for leadership. Chapter 15 begins with the verse, “A soft answer turns away wrath, BUT, (emphasis mine), grievous words stir up anger”. Today I encourage you to take these words to heart. I promise if you do, today will be better for you, and for those you come into contact with.
