The Church during the days of Corona Virus: Pray for the President’s Health and Salvation

Our “This Sunday” series will be another a Corona Virus edition.  For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray for the President’s Health and Salvation

1 Peter 2:17 leaped at me recently.  It states:

Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.

While in the United States we have a president instead of technically a king I think all the politics aside Christians can show honor for the leader of the country by praying for him.

2020 seems to still be able to throw curve balls at us and no doubt since late Thursday night many all know that the President himself has the Corona Virus.

I think in light of 1 Peter 2:17 one of the applications from that is to pray for Donald Trump and his physical health and recovery from the virus.  He’s older in age too and is among the demographics that is more at risk with the virus.

At the same time I think it’s important to pray for Trump spiritually.  I personally from hearing him talk about God seems that he might not understand the Gospel as the Bible presents it.  So I think it’s important beyond the politics for believers its important to pray for his salvation and for him spiritually.
