“Do you have eternal life with Jesus Christ ??”

And whosoever believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11:26

Lazarus had died. He had been placed in a tomb, and had been dead for 3 days. Jesus had not immediately came to Lazarus’ family during these hard times for them. But Jesus was aware of what they were going thru, and from verse 30 of this chapter, we learn that Jesus hurt deeply for this family.
Mary and Martha were confused as to why Jesus had tarried in getting to them. But what they didn’t know or couldn’t see, is that Jesus was deeply involved with them despite His absence during the sickness and passing of Lazarus.

When Jesus arrived at Bethany, after the death of Lazarus, He knew the sisters had been given time to mourn their brother’s death, and to reflect on his life and their own souls and hearts. I believe one of the reflections they saw clearly during this hard and difficult time was that Jesus loved them, and He loved Lazarus. Then Jesus tells Martha that Lazarus will live again. When He told her this, Martha had no idea that Jesus was speaking about that very day they were in. Jesus was about to clearly demonstrate not only His unfailing love for all mankind, but His absolute ability to overcome both physical and spiritual death!

Those of us who believe and trust in Christ shall never die. For you see, in the both the physical and spiritual sense, God has power and the will to grant man immortality. It is hard to go thru the times when we must say farewell to our loved ones who have passed over to the other side. But there is comfort and joy for me in knowing this: WHOSOEVER believes in Christ shall NEVER die. And I believe this with all my heart and all my soul. Jesus has absolute power over all life. Do you believe this?
