“The Power of the Holy Spirit –  Do you have this power ??”

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we made this man to walk?
Acts 3:12

Peter was quick to disclaim personal power for the healing of the lame man in Acts 3. He wanted people to KNOW that it was the power of the Lord Jesus Christ that was responsible for the man’s healing.

It is easy to accept personal credit for something God has done. We need to be careful about that. Peter kept pointing people to Christ, proclaiming the gospel, and preaching the resurrection. He had learned that he had no power in himself, but his power was the work of the ONE within him, as he was filled with Spirit of Christ.

This morning I thank God for HIS power. When we abide in the great power of Christ, wonderful things are possible and probable, for you see, without HIM, you and I can accomplish nothing worthwhile or lasting.
