“Walk in the LIGHT !!”

And God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:4

Every so often, I love to go back to the beginning. It helps to remind me that God is our Creator, and that He is holding all His creation together in the order He chooses. God is in complete control.

I often get into the woods several hours before it gets light. I watch as God’s created light, which He called into existence, overpowers the darkness. And as day breaks, I begin to see clearly. I thank God for His light. God’s word is light, my friends. It illuminates the way that we should go. It is an ever present, beneficial lamp.

This morning I thanked God for His light. Right now, it is very dark outside. I write this by the light of a lamp. When I turned it on, all the darkness went away. I can’t see in darkness. Without God’s lamp, my words would be senseless and unintelligible. With His light, I’m able to see clearly when I mess up, and HIs light enables me to correct mistakes. This morning, I thank and praise HIM for HIS LIGHT, which overcomes all our darkness.
