“Are you waiting patiently ??”

Psalm 130:5-6I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.    6 My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.  (NKJV)

The world with the internet, cable TV, cell phones, and the use of all the social media sites that are being used…has become a world that needs instant answers to their questions…

But God has a different idea for His redeemed, “born again” children…  Patience (sometimes called longsuffering), is one of the 9 fruit of the Spirit, that the Apostle Paul pens, in…

Galatians 5:22-23…  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (ESV)

The Apostle James weighs in on patience in this scripture…

James 1:2-4…  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patienceBut let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.   (NKJV)

My friends, both the Apostle Paul and the Apostle James are referring to believers, who have been graced with salvation by God Himself…  My brethren”  as the Apostle James pens in God’s Word above, refers to believers who have been indwelt with the Holy Spirit by God, the moment they are graced with salvation and welcomed as redeemed children into God’s eternal Kingdom…

This fruit of the Spirit” the Apostle Paul lists in Galatians 5:22-23 above, is manifested in the lives of God’s redeemed children, who by the power of the Holy Spirit living in them, submit their lives to God, allowing the Holy Spirit to totally take control of their lives…

But if you are a believer, and God is not first in your life, you are a “lukewarm” Christian…  Jesus had this to say about being lukewarm, in…

Revelation 3:15-16…  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”  (NKJV)

Pretty harsh words for a believer to hear…  To be right again before the Lord, you must confess all your sins (1 John 1:9), especially the absolute worst sin of omission (James 4:17) of not humbling yourself to allow God to be in control of your life…  Once the Holy Spirit is back in total control of your life, you are filled with the Holy Spirit…  The Holy Spirit will then He will be free to help you grow and mature all of the “fruit of the Spirit” listed in Galatians 5:22-23 above…

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is actually a command penned by the Apostle Paul, in…Ephesians 5:18-20…  And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)

If you are not ON FIRE for the Lord…I wrote a post you should definitely read, that might just change your life completely by God’s grace, that can be found in the following link-  https://godsmanforever.com/2020/08/01/are-you-a-christian-in-gods-eyes-and-on-fire-for-the-lord-or-not/

Wouldn’t it be great to have a heart ON FIRE for the Lord ??  A heart filled with the love of Christ, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Can you imagine “giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”  Being able to give thanks for all things, the good as well as the bad things in your life is absolutely possible…if you have absolute faith that with God in total charge of your life, He is able to make all things work for good…especially the trials you go through…  Friends, these aren’t my words…they are the inerrant, truthful words from the Bible that the Apostle Paul pens, in…

Romans 8:28…  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  (NKJV)

If you’re not a “born again” Christian who is ON FIRE for the Lord, your missing out on all the spiritual blessings God wants to shower upon you…if you would only humble yourself, and seek the Lord while He may still be found…Isaiah 55:6-7…  [See P.S. at the end]

With God in control of your life, the Holy Spirit will be able to open doors, and help you do things you could NEVER accomplish in your own strength…  The Apostle Paul tells us this, in…

Ephesians 3:20…  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  (NKJV)

So what are you waiting for ??  Submit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit tolet patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”   You will be blessed beyond belief, when you let God do what God does best !!

Gracious God and heavenly Father, I pray that Your living and powerful Word (Hebrews 4:12) would cut right to the heart and soul of those who have not yet submitted their lives to Your Son Jesus Christ…  I pray You take the scales off of the eyes of all unbelievers, and unblind them from the lies that Satan has used to keep them bound in his chains of sin and shame…  I pray You break these chains that keep them from seeking You…  Draw them in Father (John 6:44), and through the urging of the Holy Spirit, I pray lives can be changed by You in the blink of an eye…  I pray for Your God given peace and the grace that only You can provide, for the lives of all who read these words today, in the sweet name of Your Son, Jesus Christ…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce
