“Have NO FEAR knowing God is in control”

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2nd Timothy 1:7

We are living in the days when many people are fearful and afraid. People are wringing their hands in despair and fear of the unknown. And when that happens to a person, that person becomes void of the power and love of God, and can even be in danger of losing their very mind.

When you are afraid, you need to remember that the spirit of fear that overcomes you is not of God. Paul reminded Timothy of the power of God that is available to people who love and trust in Him. God is the God of saneness and sound mind. God has told us clearly what is right, and what is wrong. God desires for you and I to live in LIBERTY and FREEDOM. We can’t do that when spiritually, we are mere cowards.

This morning I thank and praise God for spiritual sanity. I thank Him that He is the God of wisdom, righteousness, strength, integrity, and of all battles. For you see, no matter what today or tomorrow may bring, when you and I are IN CHRIST, we WIN. This morning, yesterday, and tomorrow, God is STILL on His throne. And I will never allow fear of what man may do to me, to stop me from loving and serving Him. And remember my brothers and sisters in Christ, the winner of all wars has already been determined. It is God and His people. And we WILL defeat the enemies of God, only when we refuse to allow fear to cause us to lose confidence in Him, and take away our self-control.

In the days that are coming remember this: God isn’t the ONE giving His people the spirit of fear. He gives His people POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. And He is stronger than all our weakness.
