“God will FORGET the sins of His redeemed children !!”

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 8:12

God has promised to pardon those who choose to love and trust Him. He has promised and shown Himself to be merciful to us. And God has clearly shown us the cost of forgiveness as we heard about Christ giving His life and blood on the cross for our sins, from eye witnesses.

Every so often, I hear someone who has been wronged and hurt by someone else, say something like this : “I could never forgive them for what they have done.” And each time I hear this, I immediately ask myself the question, “What if God had that same attitude toward mankind?”

God has promised that if we will confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from ALL our unrighteous ness. That is total and complete forgiveness. And it is a fact that when we come to Christ on God’s terms, He not only washes those sins away, but He chooses not to even remember that we ever committed them! And that my friends, is a loss of memory purposely accomplished by God, by His wonderful love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Praise Him for this. It is all possible because our Savior LIVES.
