“No one can keep God’s Laws”

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. v.25: But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Galatians 3: 24-25

Paul wrote plainly to the Galatians concerning the purpose of the law. They needed to hear this for some of Judaizers were teaching them in error, saying that the ritual of circumcision was necessary in order for them to be saved. Some people today still believe that they must keep the Mosaic law in order to be saved. And more startling that this, is some today falsely claim to keep the law perfectly.

People need to know that God’s law cannot save us. It is a good thing the law can’t do that, because nobody can keep the law perfectly. But the Lord Jesus demonstrated His power to keep the law, and to fulfill the law perfectly. Then He willingly shed His perfect and sinless blood on the cross at Calvary to give the only sacrifice that could reconcile you and I with God.

People need to stop claiming spiritual superiority over one another. We need to confess that all of us are sinners because of our failure to keep God’s law. And we need to come to God HIS way, which is only thru His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus told us truthfully that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that NO MAN comes to the FATHER except by Him. The law is my schoolmaster that proves this to me. Because I know and understand that I have broken God’s law, I need the Savior that HE has provided to reconcile me with God. That law taught me I need to come to Christ by faith. It is only by His grace we are saved, and not because any ritual or law we falsely profess to keep to the letter. And I praise and thank God for this truth.
