This Sunday at Church: Pray for someone’s decision of which college to attend next school year

May 2, 2021 by SLIMJIM

For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray for someone’s decision of which college to attend next school year.

The last few weeks there is one of the members of our church’s youth that I’ve been asking and praying for his decision of which college he will wanted to attend.  He’s got accepted to several prestigious universities.  I’m thankful to God he got accepted to them.  I talked to his father a few weeks ago and his dad was wondering too where would he go for his decision.  He finally did make a decision; and he’s going to the university that I’m an alumni of!

This got me thinking about praying for someone who is going to make the decision of which college to attend.  Going to college can be a big decision that affect the person’s spiritual life, career path and whom they marry, etc.

I know there’s a lot of advices that people will give the youngster.  You might be giving advices too!  Be clear also what’s your opinion, preferences, etc., and what are sound principles of wisdom, biblical priorities, etc.  But in the midst of it all don’t forget to pray for that person.

Don’t just pray for that individual; pray with that person verbally and physically right then and there!  Take advantage of this Lord’s Day to do so!  I know many will give advice but how many would pray for the person’s decision?  I suspect its less than advice givers. I think the person also might appreciate the prayer!  Or if you asked this Sunday at church the individual about which decision he or she made of which college or university to attend and it turns out the person already made the decision, pray anyways for the future!  That person is going to need it with everything crazy on college campuses!

I’m looking forward this Lord’s Day to pray for that young man who made his decision to attend the university!  Keep this in mind too for the next seniors next year!
