“Never grow weary doing God’s work !!”
And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9
Have you ever felt like just throwing up your hands and screaming, “What’s the use?” After much consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that sometimes, that describes my attitude precisely. Because that is when we become the kind of person that just might grow weary in well doing.
When I read this scripture, I had to say to myself, “Sounds like that kind of person could be me.” And after further consideration, I had to confess to God, “That IS me!” I believe it describes all, or at least, most of us. When a person is growing weary, it is wise for that person to get some rest.
It is wise to reconsider that a man reaps what he has sown. And it is even wiser to seek counsel from someone we can count on to give us the encouragement to NOT grow weary in doing what is right and what is good. For those wise persons will help us to see that AFTER we get some rest, it is better to carry on with good stuff, and not faint. Don’t let the slackers get you down, friends.
