“The Fruit of the Spirit”

Walking in and by the full power of the Holy Spirit is God’s will for every “born again” Christian…  I spent a day writing about walking in the Spirit, that was titled…”Walk by the power of the Holy Spirit”…  You can read this most important post in Reference 1. Below…  Not yet a “born again” Christian ??  Open the P.S. at the end for a “good news” gospel of Christ message of the cross that God uses to save sinners from everlasting destruction in a not so nice place when they die…

When you do your best to “Walk in the Spirit” by confessing, repenting, and turning from all sins, the indwelt Holy Spirit will have the power to keep you from sinning, most of the time…  I say most of the time, because we still have our unredeemed flesh that opposes God’s will for our lives…   This carnal flesh should have less and less influence on us, the more we mature in our walk with the Lord…  

Galatians 5:16…   I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  (NKJV)

Walking in and by the full power of the Holy Spirit is a learning process for the “born again” Christian…  As you mature in your walk with the Lord, you will hopefully get to a point where you are obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leading, because you have ears to hear the Holy Spirit’s urging, and a heart filled with the love of Christ…  This guidance by the Holy Spirit will overpower Satan’s attempts to urge us to fall into his traps set to urge us to sin…  And when you are walking in the Spirit because your heart is filled with the love of Christ, at that moment in time, you have confessed any and all sins [1 John 1:9], to allow the Holy Spirit to produce and mature the fruit of the Spirit in your life…  This spiritual fruit is only produced when you are filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-20), and He has control of your heart, mind, and soul…  A list of the fruit of the Spirit is penned by the apostle Paul in…

Galatians 5:22-23…  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.  (ESV)

I don’t have a specific percentage of “born again” Christians that have matured in their walk with the Lord enough, that they have placed Christ first in their lives; and are being blessed beyond belief by all that God promises His obedient children…   But I am sure though all “born again” Christians are saved, and going to heaven…the majority sadly have yet to mature in their walk with the Lord, so that they are walking in the Spirit most of the time…  This maturity comes by feeding upon scripture (See Matthew 4:4…&…Luke 4:4), through prayer to the Lord, through going to a Bible preaching and teaching church, and through a heart felt desire to place, and then keep God first in your life…

I spent a day writing what I believe are the 3 most important pieces of scripture for the “born again” Christian, and they are 3 of the 4 scripture verses I have included above…  I believe this is the most important days writing I have posted in over 10 years that I have been daily posting my blog @ www.Godsmanforever.com     You can read this most important post ever, in Reference 2. Below…

I had decided to spend a day to post on “The Fruit of the Spirit”, including the 4 audio sermons by John MacArthur, because MacArthur does an excellent job describing why its sooo important for the “born again” Christian to walk in and by the power of the Holy Spirit…  I have tried to stress the importance of living a “spirit-filled”, “Christ-centered” life, with all the many blessings God will shower upon His obedient children…  You can find these 4 important audio sermons on the fruit of the Spirit in Reference 3, 4, 5, and 6. Below…

Gracious God and heavenly Father, I pray that every one of Your redeemed, “born again” children that have not yet placed You first and most important in their lives, would be urged by You take the time to seek Your face, confess, repent, and turn from their sins, and be filled with the Holy Spirit…   Only You can change hearts filled with the sin of not putting You first in their lives (the sin of omission), to hearts that are filled with the Love of Christ…  Once “Spirit-filled” Christians have experienced the many blessings You have promised Your obedient children, I believe that most believers will never go back to living without You first and most important in their lives…  I pray for all lives to be changed by Your urging, so that they experience the many blessings that living their lives for You will provide… I pray for all of these life changes, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sale…Amen…
