“Absent from the body, but present with the Lord !!”

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff comfort me.

Psalm 23:4

Death is the end of life on earth. But for the believer in Christ, death is not a permanent destination, but simply a very short time period we must experience before entering into the presence of our Lord. Death gets us to the other side, a wonderful place where we dwell with God for an eternity.

God tells us not to fear any evil when we or our loved ones are facing death. The reason is that HE is with us. And I believe God uses His rod and staff to guide us all the way through the valley of the shadow of death. And for the believer, I believe that death is indeed just a shadow, The darkness of that shadow will be completely consumed by the Light of God. And even though our flesh can’t exist in Heaven, and the body is laid to rest here on earth, the second we draw our last breath, we are absent from the body BUT PRESENT with the Lord. Praise Him in this my brothers and sisters!
