“Time to walk the talk”

If MY PEOPLE which are CALLED BY MY NAME, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2nd Chronicles 7:14

If you are actually awake, you can see our country is in trouble. We are in trouble because of our disregard for the Word of God. It is because of our failure to humble ourselves before God’s throne, praying and seeking God’s face, and our failure to turn away from, confess, and repent of our sins. The fault is not with those who are NOT GOD’S PEOPLE, the fault lies with those of us who ARE His people.

This scripture is not telling all people to do it, it is telling God’s people to do it. I think we need to stop pointing at other people’s sins and start dealing with our own. I don’t know how many Christians are living in America right now, but I do know this, not all of us have acted on the words of this scripture. If America is to survive, it will be because God’s people have believed HIM, and lived this verse.

It has been said that “silence is golden”. But sometimes, I believe it much more yellow than golden. Do you really desire for God to hear your prayers, to forgive our sins, and to heal our land? God, please help me to do my part to honor You and live this scripture out daily in my life. In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray, Amen.
