“He is risen !!”

And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted. Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified; He is risen, He is not here; behold the place where they laid Him.

Mark 16:6

What do you believe might be the greatest of all statements of fact contained in the Word of God? I’m not sure any of us could answer that question, because every word in the Bible is true, and every phrase and each statement is in itself, great, factual, and absolute truth. But I tell you what, ” He is not here “, and this is one that causes me much joy. You see, every facet of our faith lies on this statement. The stone had been rolled away, not to let Jesus out, but to let the women in.

The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the grave is undeniable proof that He alone is God. Today we worship Him alone and commemorate His victory over death and the grave. Because of this event, we have supreme and absolute hope. And the Christian can and should celebrate the resurrection of our LORD each and every day! That is why for me, every day is a day to have Easter in our hearts!
