This Sunday at Church: Pray for those who lost someone in their family this year

This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for those who lost someone in their family this year.
This week I learned that the person that disciplined me when I was 18 years old has just passed away. He had a lot of health issues the last few years. He never got married, was a servant’s heart, and talked to me about a lot of stuff before I joined the Marines.
During 2020 it was a hard time for him as he was hospitalized, and I did not get to have much contact. I thought things were the brightest I have heard from him a few months ago. And then the Lord took him home.
It got me thinking about how there are people in our churches that lost a loved one this past year. We should think about them and pray for them. If possible hear them out and see how they are doing, paying attention to their grief and how they are surviving.
