“The Holy Spirit will give you the right words at the right time”
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all adversaries shall not be able to gainsay or resist.
Luke 21:15
What a great promise from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself to those of us who love Him. The Person of the Holy Spirit is an all-powerful and remarkable presence in our life. He is always there with us and will never leave us nor forsake us. When you are persecuted for your faith in Christ, or when you are being condemned for teaching or preaching the absolute truth of the Word of God, know most assuredly that God will give you valuable resources to draw from. He will control our mouths and give us wisdom. You see, lots of us exercise our mouth, but often we lack the wisdom of God when we are doing it.
Jesus promised his followers that although they would face persecution, trials, and tribulations, and people would make unfair and false allegations against them, do not give any forethought to how they would answer. He promised that the gainsayers and adversaries of Him will not be able to resist the wisdom of the words that He will place in our hearts, minds, and mouth. It is an awesome promise that the Lord will keep. You and I can thank and praise God. God is our source! He is not the source of His adversaries and those that persecute believers.
