“Reward evil with love”
For my love they are my adversaries; but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Psalms 109: 4-5
Here is a news flash for you my friends: You cannot make people love you. And you cannot force someone to accept your love for them. As a matter of fact, all you have to do to incite the wrath and hatred in some folks is to love them. But when you stop and think about it all, it is not really them that are rewarding evil for good, and hatred for love. You see, we don’t really fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I know it is hard, but don’t make yourself sick over someone who is rewarding evil for good, and hatred for your love. Instead, give yourself to prayer, and allow God to work and to change cold, hard, arrogant, hateful, and deceitful hearts. He can do it. We can’t. For you see, without HIM, we can do nothing worthwhile or lasting. And true love is both!
