A pretty bleak picture of oneself, don’t you agree? But it’s a true picture. It’s a picture of us before we came to know Christ. It is a picture of all the unsaved in this world today.
Even though this should not be a picture of you or me, or any other believer in Christ, sometimes I wonder how the world sees the Church. Divisions and cliques have no place in our churches. When they sometimes pop up, these descriptions can pop out.
God, help us not to look down self-righteous noses where lost persons are concerned, and help us to fully understand just how much we have been forgiven. And may we never be guilty of forgetting the awesome and wonderful grace of God.
