Colossians 3:16-17…  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. ¹⁷ And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  (NKJV)

From the Day of Pentecost forward, all Christians have been filled by God with the Holy Spirit as a lifelong Helper, to teach and to guide the Christian with everything Jesus taught His disciples…John 14:26… But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  (NKJV)

But as I have tried to stress for the last couple of days…Christian’s should be fed spiritually (hopefully every day), by spending time reading the Bible…Matthew 4:4… But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”  (NKJV)   Spiritual wisdom is something the Christian should be willingly seeking, as they strive to mature in their walk with the Lord…

Reading God’s Word is what will teach us how to live lives that will be pleasing to God… Look at this opening scripture…“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly”… Can you not see the absolute joy that being filled with the Holy Spirit will bring into the life of a Christian ??   Not only will we be pleasing our Father in heaven…reading the Bible will bring us joy into our hearts and lives, and a supernatural peace I so often write about…that goes beyond our mortal comprehension…

Philippians 4:6-7… Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (NKJV)

Without reading the Bible, Christian’s will never grow spiritually…1 Peter 2:2…  as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,  (NKJV)  …This process of growing spiritually is called sanctification, which is a lifelong process of becoming more “Christ like” as the Christian matures…John 17:17… Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.  (NKJV)

Jesus Himself told us this, in…John 8:31-32… Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  (NKJV)

Do you want to live a life that is free from the torment and the pitfalls from the temptations Satan uses to keep people living in fear and bondage ??  …Abiding in God’s Word will bring with it, freedom from Satan, if people put on God’s full set of spiritual armor that all stems from the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-20)… Spending time in God’s Word will also make a person complete in Christ; and eager to help others around them in need…

2 Timothy 3:16-17… All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.  (NKJV)

If you are a Christian, and your not feeling the fruit of the Spirit that God promises for His children who are filled with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)…you probably either have un-confessed sins in your life…or you have taken back control from the Holy Spirit God has given you… I know this can happen very easily, because I did just that for quite some time until 3 years ago today… If you want to be aligned again with the Lord and His will, you must confess and repent of any and all sins…1 John 1:9… If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (NKJV

If your not spending time reading the Bible, because you have a hard time understanding what your reading, pray for wisdom just before you open your Bible…James 1:5-6… If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  (NKJV)

All I can do is to testify what has absolutely worked for me in my daily life…and pray that others would step out in faith…crack open and read their Bibles…and prepare for God’s Word to bring about monumental blessings that the Lord will shower on those who diligently spend time learning about His will and His ways…

Heavenly Father, I pray that the truth found in Your Word today, will motivate all of us to spend more time in Your Book of Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth…  Help all of us Lord…in whatever spiritual state we are in…to improve our relationship with You in a way that will bring us closer to Your will for our lives… I pray for Your spiritual help for all of us, along with the many blessings I pray that You will provide…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
