1 Corinthians 10:12… Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (NKJV)
Any Christian should never, ever boast with overconfidence, that things are going great because of their own efforts… When we boast in our own strength, we are setting ourselves up for a fall…
Even Jesus Christ, realized that all of His power came from His Father in heaven…John 5:30… “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” (NKJV)
The wise Solomon warns us about praising ourselves, in…Proverbs 27:2… Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips. (NKJV)
The apostle Paul boasted about his abilities, but notice what he reveals in this scripture, in…Philippians 4:13… I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (NKJV) …Paul also writes this, in…Galatians 6:14… But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. (NKJV)
Everything we have as Christian’s, is because God has given it to us… It is the Lord we should be thanking and praising, and not ourselves… Paul writes this, in… 1 Corinthians 1:29-31… that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” (NKJV)
The prayer life of a Christian should become a regular part of their day… God wants to hear about our problems, but God also expects us to praise Him and to glorify Him in all that we say and do… Remembering the Lord in prayer, thanking Him for the day, and for all that we have as Christian’s…is God’s will for us to follow…1 Thessalonians 5:16-18… Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (NKJV)
When you leave God out of the picture…you are only fooling yourself, if you believe you have got it made… Again, a piece of scriptural advice from the wise Solomon, in…Proverbs 16:18-19… Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud. (NKJV)
Heavenly Father, I pray everyone reading these words of wisdom from Your Word, understands that You Lord, and not themselves…are responsible for all the blessings and the good things that we possess… Help all of Your children Lord…give You the praise and the glory that You so richly deserve… I pray for this proper godly praise from all of us…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
