Philippians 3:9and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  (NKJV)

I spent the day yesterday, writing about the only way to have a lifetime of sins forgiven… There is nothing we can do in the way of our own righteous works done for the Lord, which will allow Him to forgive our sins… I quoted an eye opening pieces of scripture confirming this important point, when Jesus warns us about falsely believing these self-righteous works done for the Lord will forgive their sins, in…Matthew 7:21-23

I also explained that sinners need to seek Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, by understanding and obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ; and quoted scripture written by the apostle Paul, warning what will happen to those who do not obey  the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

Here is the link for yesterday’s important writing on what God wants from us, to become a Christian in His eyes… https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/08/02/gods-group-thoughts-for-8022012-in-gods-good-graces/

When the sinner has obeyed the gospel of Christ, through faith alone in Jesus Christ…God imputes the righteousness of Christ into the life of the sinner, and their lifetime of sins is paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross…2 Corinthians 2:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.  (NKJV)

The sinner who was a slave to Satan, dies to their old sinful life; and becomes a new creation as child of God…2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  (NKJV)

As a new child of God (John 3:3), who has been freed from the bonds of Satan…the Christian is indwelt with the Holy Spirit; and their old way of life, filled with sin and controlled by Satan, should no longer have dominance over them…

Romans 6:11-14…  Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.  (NKJV)

Here is scripture I opened with yesterday… Titus 2:11-12For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, (NKJV)

For the Christian that is filled with (totally controlled by) the Holy Spirit…sin and Satan’s temptations should have little to no effect on them, because the Lord’s power will dominate over Satan’s temptations… Again, I must mention “The Whole Armor of God”, which the apostle Paul tells us (and I confirm in my life), will protect us from Satan’s attacks…Ephesians 6:10-20… Here is the link about the 6 pieces of God’s spiritual armor, for protection from Satan…   http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=eph6:10-20,&version=NKJV

The Spirit filled Christian must, however…put on all 6 pieces of spiritual armor that God has provided for their protection…  For the Christian to remaining Spirit filled…they must not only remain totally controlled by the Holy Spirit, by confessing and repenting of any and all sins as they occur (1 John 1:9)…they must also systematically put on all 6 pieces of God’s spiritual armor for protection from Satan…

I am convinced by speaking with many Christian’s…that they are not Spirit filled because of missing pieces of the spiritual armor that God has provided…  Wearing the complete set of God’s armor includes a Christian’s spend regular (hopefully daily) time reading the Bible… They must understand the truth found in God’s Word…  They must remain righteous in God’s sight… They must have continuous faith that God can, and will provide for, and protect them… They must stay focused on the Lord, with their minds protected by the helmet of salvation…  And prayer morning, noon, night, and wherever needed in between…must be used to keep the Christian’s spiritual connection to the Lord alive and well… Prayer is what I call the glue which holds all of God’s spiritual armor in place…

I hear Christian’s complain that they have no time… Call upon the Lord, if you are a Christian… Ask Him to help you not only find the time…ask Him to take charge of your busy life…  You just might be amazed at how perfect your time management will become; with God in charge of everything you say and do…

Heavenly Father, I pray that readers would see the truth that Your Word is filled with today to be set free from Satan’s bonds of sin and shame (John 8:32)…  I pray Lord, that Your children would all learn to rely on You, instead of their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6)…and that lives would be changed by You in whatever way is needed…to become pleasing in Your sight… I pray for these godly, pleasing lives filled with freedom and peace for all of us, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
