Hebrews 11:6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  (NKJV)

God’s Word reveals that God wants to bless His children… The opening scripture says that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him…  What are these rewards ??  There is scripture that indicates God will give His children anything they desire… We see such scripture in the Old Testament…Psalm 37:3-4Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  (NKJV)

Don’t be misled by scripture like this, or…John 15:7… Both indicate that God will answer the prayers of His children with whatever they desire… The apostle John gives us scripture that should quench our thoughts of praying for grandiose riches…1 John 5:14Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  (NKJV)   …God will give us only what He wills for our lives… But God only wants the best for His children…

I believe these rewards for those that diligently seek God are not material rewards… I believe they are the blessings of peace and joy and hope that the Lord gives to those Christians that are living Christ centered lives…  This means that they do their very best to remain righteous in God’s eyes (1 John 1:9), by consistently listening to the urging of the Holy Spirit; and following His lead…

The apostle Paul gives us this scripture, in…Romans 15:13Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  (NKJV)

When we are walking with the Lord, we are Spirit filled Christians…just like the apostle Paul urges the believers in Ephesus to be, in…Ephesians 5:18-20… It is only the full power of the Holy Spirit, when left in total control of the Christian’s life, which will allow the Christian to have supernatural peace, even through life’s trials…

I quote the following scripture often, because I have experienced this peace beyond mortal understanding, in my own life…Philippians 4:6-7Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (NKJV)

God wants the very best for His children… But God also wants us to put our faith and trust in Him… David knew this…and so did his wise son Solomon, who wrote half of the teaching scripture in the Book of Proverbs…

Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (NKJV)

The sooner we understand that God’s ways are always better than our ways…and that God wants the best for His children…we simply have to humble ourselves to get out of the way, and let God take full charge of our lives… Once we submit to God’s will for our lives, we will be walking with God, and not against Him… God will be free to reward us abundantly…John 10:10The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  (NKJV)

Heavenly Father, Your Word is truth, and You promise the truth will set us free…John 8:32… Help all of us Lord, in whatever spiritual state we find ourselves in…to look into Your Word; and to seek Christ while He may still be found…Isaiah 55:6…  And Lord, help Your children to totally submit to Your will and Your ways… I pray for this fullness of the Holy Spirit in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
