Romans 6:16… Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? (NKJV)
Yesterday I wrote about which eternity each person alive today should be urgently thinking about, for their afterlife… If we die without becoming a Christian…we will spend an eternity with Satan in the lake of fire… This is known as the second death…Revelation 20:10-15… Here is the link for yesterdays writing… https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2012/10/11/gods-group-thoughts-for-10112012-are-you-ready-for-your-eternal-life/
All of us are going to die sooner or later… And where we spend our afterlife, is determined by who our allegiance belongs to before we pass on from this earth… We are either a slave to Satan, who controls our lives as our father (John 8:44); or we have humbled ourselves to become a child of God, and a Christian in God’s eyes, not just in our own minds…
I was speaking to a dear friend of mine yesterday, who is a sister in Christ… She has been going through some tough times lately… But just like the woman I wrote about on 10/10/12, who had just lost her son and still had unshakable faith in God (like Job)…my friend was still looking to the Lord with unshakable faith, as she understands that God is sovereign, and that His way is always the right way, even if we don’t see eye to eye with Him…Isaiah 55:8…
She was telling me about a friend she has been discipling, where she has been planting seeds that only God can grow into one of His children… Today I write for her friend who has been hearing God’s Word; and anyone else who has heard the gospel message, and who must ultimately make a decision that will determine their eternal future…
The Apostle Paul, who wrote the opening scripture…continues on with this, in…Romans 6:17… But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. (NKJV)
The doctrine which must be obeyed from the heart, in order to be graced with the free gift of salvation by God…is known as the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ… Jesus Himself teaches us about hearing and understanding the Word (the gospel of Christ); when Jesus speaks about the parable of the soils, in…Matthew 13:1-23… The Word is sewn as seeds on 4 different types of soils… Here is the link to this important teaching… http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mat13:1-23&version=NKJV
Notice what Jesus says about the 4th seed (the only one in my opinion, which will be grown into a Christian by God’s grace through saving faith alone in Jesus Christ…Matthew 13:23… “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (NKJV)
By understanding and obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ, the sinner’s heart will be regenerated by God, as the love of Christ and the Holy Spirit take up residence with-in the new Christian as a life long live-in Helper…John 14:26…
How will a Christian know for sure that they are a true child of God ?? Because the Holy Spirit given to the new Christian by God, will reveal this to them… The Apostle Paul explains this, in…Romans 8:14-16… For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (NKJV)
Proof that a Christian is indeed a child of God, will be evident by the fruit they produce…that Jesus speaks of in the scripture above… The true Christian is one who “indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (NKJV)
Once the sinner truly understands and has “obeyed from the heart” the gospel of Jesus Christ…God will see their truly repentant heart (1 Samuel 16:7b), as the sinner has turned from their sins and has asked Jesus Christ to come into their lives as their personal Lord, their Master, and their Savior… By God’s pure grace through this saving faith alone in Jesus Christ…the sinner will be forgiven of a lifetime of sins…and will become a Christian in God’s eyes…
Heavenly Father, the grace You shower upon those who have put their faith and trust in Your Son Jesus Christ, is without a doubt both the most important miracle and blessing anyone could possibly receive from You… I pray Father, that all those in need of this grace and mercy from You, will look into, understand, and obey the gospel of Your Son Jesus Christ… I pray for this righteousness, and the promise of a room in Your mansion in heaven when they die (John 14:2-4), for all of those in need of salvation…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

P.S. The gospel of Christ is presented in the link below, to plant the seed toward salvation for those who want to become part of God’s family; to be sure they are righteous in God’s eyes, and filled with the awesome power of the Holy Spirit…
