Philippians 2:14-15 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, (NKJV)

This opening scripture was written by the Apostle Paul, almost 2000 years ago…  He speaks of a crooked and perverse generation”…  I wonder what Paul would be thinking, if he were living in 2013 ??  Just take one look around you…  I don’t care what country you’re from…  This world has always been, and will to continue to be a “Me first” people…with arguments and complaints and evil all around us…   Many people who don’t have (at least in the USA), are looking for stuff to be given to them… They believe that it is the duty of our government to supply their needs… But God is the One who promises to provide for the needs of those who seek Him first… Jesus teaches us this, in…Matthew 6:33

Spirit filled Christians, should have a totally different outlook on life…  The Holy Spirit, God has given to all His children, is capable of helping God’s children in ways they wouldn’t think about in a million years… The following scripture written by the Apostle Paul was mentioned yesterday, in a Bible study I have been going to…

Ephesians 3:20Now to Him who is able to do exceedinglyabundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (NKJV)

The Him in this scripture, I believe is God…based upon the scripture right before this, in…Ephesians 3:19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  (NKJV)

God’s power, working in and through the believer, really is far beyond our mortal understanding… But this power is only realized, when believers get out of their own way, and let God through the Holy Spirit, totally permeate their heart, mind, and soul…  God gives His Spirit filled children this power, when they are walking in sweet fellowship with Him…  But believers cannot be living in sin, like the people still living in this lost and dying world, with Satan as their father (John 8:44)…and expect that God will freely bless them…

When the believer turns from, and confesses their sins to the Lord (1 John 1:9)…and then totally submits their lives to Christ…God is then free to bless His children in ways they never dreamed off…  Those that don’t know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior…need to seek Christ through obedience to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…(see the link at the bottom)  The following scripture, describes the Spirit filled Christian best…

Ephesians 3:16-20that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  (NKJV)

Totally humbled Christians, who are completely submitted to following God’s direction through the Holy Spirit, should be able to Do all things without complaining and disputing…  This is just not possible in our own mortal strength…  But with God, all things are possible…  Jesus tells this to His disciples, in…Matthew 19:26But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  (NKJV)

Jesus, in this scripture…was speaking about divine grace given to men, who just don’t deserve to be forgiven of their sins…  But if Christians would just step back, and put all of their faith and trust in the Lord; and acknowledge that God is sovereign, and that God’s path for our lives is the only perfect way…they would experience the fullness of joy (John 15:11)…the supernatural peace, surpassing our mortal understanding (Philippians 4:6-7)…and the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that we see in…Philippians 3:19…above…

Christians walking in the Spirit will, automatically shine as lights in the world…  Jesus urges Christians to do just this, in…Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.  (NKJV)

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your Word awakens those of Your children that have fallen short of living their lives for You… None of us are perfect Lord, like You are perfect…  But I pray that all of Your children will seek to do their best to live in Your will and Your ways…  I pray for this fullness of God in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
