All of us need to be involved in something besides going to work, and sitting home until its time for bed…  I can remember the excitement I had as a child of maybe 5 or 6…looking forward to seeing the next  “H D” show…

Well, in just the past few months of going to two Bible studies at my church…I have been hooked on the excitement and the blessings I have been receiving, by spending time fellowshipping with believers from my church; as well as others that come from all over, to gather together to study God’s Word… 

I was speaking to a good friend of mine the other day, who had just gone to the brand new women’s Bible study that our church has just started last week…  She was telling me how fantastic it was; and how excited she was about looking forward to this weeks Bible study with the other women from our church…  I have the same thoughts about looking forward with excitement to both the weekly men’s Bible study I have been going to…and the co-ed Bible study every other week…to see what nuggets of wisdom God will reveal to me personally by digging into His Word…

My thoughts today, suggest that you find out if your church has an organized Bible study that you can get involved with…  If they don’t…you could suggest that they start one…  There is always the option to meet at someone’s house, for a Bible study that is not church sponsored…  Or check around at your local churches, to find a Bible study open to all people…that will fit into your busy schedule…

Spending time with fellow believers, to dissect what may only be a few verses from the Bible…with other dedicated Christians that have the common goal and appetite to get involved digesting “the meat” of God’s Word (Hebrews 5:12-14), will provide not only blessings from above…it will help the Christian grow and mature in spiritual wisdom, as they grow closer to the Lord…James 4:7-8a…

I am reminded of scripture appropriate to today’s writing…Hebrews 11:6… But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  (NKJV)

If you’re looking for a new church…may I suggest a Bible believing, gospel of Christ teaching church…that will stimulate your spiritual mind and heart…   Finding the “Right Church”, with “The Right Church Doctrine”…can be one of the most important and fulfilling things a Christian can do…  I wrote about both of these a few weeks ago, along with “Getting Plugged in”, with-in your church…  To be sure the church is serious about their teaching of God’s Word…I would look for a church who offers a Bible study, for those Christians that are serious about being conformed to the image of Christ…Romans 8:29…

Heavenly Father, I pray today’s thoughts will be used by You, to stimulate the spiritual minds of Your children…  I pray Lord…that others will seek to find a Bible study near them…to be blessed as much as I have been blessed by You, for gathering with my fellow brethren in the serious study of Your Word… I pray for this extra step to help in spiritual growth and a commitment to You, by all of your children…in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

a) Men’s Bible study 8 a.m. every Wednesday morning…

b) Woman’s Bible Study every Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.

c) Co-ed Bible study at 7 p.m. every other Friday night (2/15 is next one !!)
