2 Timothy 1:7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  (NKJV)

Anyone living in fear (except the healthy/reverent fear of the Lord…Matthew 10:28), cannot be living in faith, as a Christian who is Walking in the Spirit; with the Holy Spirit in total command (Ephesians 5:18-20) of their senses…Galatians 5:16-17I say then: Walkin the Spirit, and you shall notfulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.  (NKJV)

The Apostle Paul, in the opening scripture, is writing about Christians who have been given the Holy Spirit at the moment they become a child of God…John 14:26…   We see the Apostle Paul use similar words to the opening scripture, when he penned this, in…

Romans 8:15-16For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The SpiritHimself bears witness with our spirit that wearechildren of God, (NKJV)

When the Christian who is living by absolute faith in the Lord…allows their heart, mind, and soul to be to be totally focused on Him…they will be transformed by thepower of the Holy Spirit, that God has given to all of His children…

The Apostle Paul pens this, in…Romans 12:1-2…  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but betransformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfectwill of God.  (NKJV)

One cannot live in fear, and have absolute faith in God at the same time…  If fear doesn’t come from God (as the opening scripture reveals)…it can only come from Satan, or our own weak flesh…

But the Christian, who submits their lives to the Lord, will have no fear…because the Lord promises to always be there for the Christian, no matter what……Hebrews 13:5-6Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will neverleave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will notfear. What can man do to me?”  (NKJV)

The Apostle John has this to say about fear, when he was well up in age at the time he wrote…1 John 4:18There is nofear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been madeperfect in love.  (NKJV)

And what better scripture on the fullness of Christ’s love in one’s heart, than this penned by the Apostle Paul, in…

Ephesians 3:16-19…  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through HisSpirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  (NKJV)

This scripture gives us all we need to know about how to stop fear dead in its tracks…  The Christian needs Christ todwell in your hearts through faith, so that you are rooted and groundedinthe love of Christ which passes knowledge…so that the Christian has the power (strengthened with might through HisSpirit) because they have all the fullness of God…

Friends, it’s all about totally submitting your life to the Lord…James 4:7-8Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will drawnear to you. Cleanse your hands, yousinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  (NKJV)

As a Christian, you can purify your heart by confessing and repenting of your sins, in order to again become righteous in God’s sight…1 John 1:9…  Walking in sweet fellowship with the Lord, will bring God’s richest blessings into the lives of His obedient children…  Fear will be a thing of the past, if the power of God through the fullness of Christ, is always on call to overcome Satan, our flesh, and the sins of the world…1 John 2:15-16

Heavenly Father, I pray that anyone living in fear will first seek Christ, while He may still be found (Isaiah 55:6), through the message of the cross… (See link at the bottom)…  And then Lord, I pray that all of Your children will see the truth from Your Word about the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, who will help them live lives filled with Your richest blessings…  I pray for this supernatural peace for all of us, which surpasses all of our mortal understanding; and which will guard our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ…Philippians 4:6-7…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
