Colossians 3:16… Let the word of Christdwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (NKJV)
I spent the past 2 days giving you my life experiences, in hope of helping you climb to your own spiritual summit as a Christian… When everything is said and done, it boils down to allowing the Word of God to infiltrate the Christian’s heart, mind, and soul… Please go to www.Godsmanforever.wordpress.com to read my 7/15 & 7/16 writing, for why reading God’s Word is the key to not only pleasing God, but to also reap the rewards that God promises to those that diligently seek Him…Hebrews 11:6…
It is from God’s Word, that humans are to best learn all there is to know about God… God’s Word is living and powerful, and it will cut right to the very core of our being…exposing the thoughts of our hearts and minds… We learn this in scripture penned, in…
Hebrews 4:12-13… For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom wemust giveaccount. (NKJV)
I write all the time, on the importance of the Christian spending time (hopefully daily) in the Bible, which is the inerrant Word of God… Jesus tells us how important this is, when He tells us this, in…Matthew 4:4… But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by breadalone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (NKJV)
No human can survive without food and water… Feeding on God’s Word, is every bit as important to nourish the spiritual life of the Christian… The human mind is easily sidetracked by distractions which occur non stop some days, from the time we wake up, until the time we place our heads on the pillow at night… This is why the Christian should make the time to renew their minds with God’s Word every morning, before they leave the house…
The Apostle Paul pens this, in…Romans 12:2… And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfectwill of God. (NKJV)
God will speak to us through reading His Word… My inspiration for today’s writing came from a U-Tube video I watched this morning, which was titled…“Practical Advice on Daily Bible Reading” – by Tim Conway… I must say that I learned a few important points myself; which is why I wanted to pass this video on to you… Here is the link to this valuable instructional video… http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=em

Tim gives an excellent account of why we as Christian’s should be in the Word every day… He also gives you a practical list of how best to discipline yourself, in order to get the most out of reading your Bible…
The Apostle Peter in his old age penned this, for the serious Christian, in…1 Peter 2:1-3… Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the puremilk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 ifindeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. (NKJV)
There should be a craving with-in the spiritually growing Christian, which urges them through the Holy Spirit, to want to drink the “puremilk of the word”… But the Christian must go from just drinking milk, to consuming the meat of the Word…as they chew on and digest the solid food God wants all of His children to feast upon…
The writer of Hebrews puts it this way, in…Hebrews 5:12-14… For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and notsolid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their sensesexercised to discern both good and evil. (NKJV)
Christians that attend churches that spend very little time teaching and preaching from the Bible, are starving their spiritual growth… God wrote the Bible through 40 or so writers, that were inspired by the Holy Spirit, to record God’s Word for us to live by…2 Peter 1:19-21… How does one know what God wants from us, in order to be deemed righteous in God’s eyes ??
Anyone who bases their faith on traditions and self-righteous works that must be done (like going to church every week), in order to have sins forgiven by God…is in jeopardy of being turned away from the gates of heaven when they die (Matthew 7:21-23), and it is too late to be forgiven by God for their lifetime of sins… I spent what is perhaps the most important day’s writing of the last 4 years, in a recent days writing that was titled “The Truth about Sin”… This writing goes into detail about the false teaching of works based salvation…
You can go to www.Godsmanforever.wordpress.com and type in 7/11/2013 into the search window, to read about what God and the Bible tells us God requires in order to enter heaven’s gates… Unless the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is understood and obeyed…2 Thessalonians 1:8-9…sins cannot be forgiven by God… This day’s writing has a link for a 20 minute audio sermon done by Dr. Charles Stanley on 7/09/2013, which includes the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, in audible form…
We MUST understand through God’s inerrant Word, and respond to God’s will to become a Christian in God’s eyes to begin with…and then by spending time in God’s Word, exactly what God requires from us (as the Apostle Paul puts it in scripture above)…to “prove what is that good and acceptable and perfectwill of God.”
Heavenly Father, I pray that today’s Word would be used by You, to awaken and draw in those that You don’t yet recognize as one of Your children…John 6:44… I pray Lord, that all of Your redeemed children would be urged by the Holy Spirit, to develop a daily quiet time reading their Bible…to allow the “word of Christ” to “dwell”in them “richly in all wisdom”… I pray for this diligence for all Christians, which I hope will bring Your obedient children Your richest blessings… I pray for this fullness of Christ for all of us, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
Blessings in Christ, bruce
